Sounds like maybe he won't be fighting Schaub when he comes back to the UFC, don't know how good MMA Weekly's sources are though so who knows

Nelson actually has a pretty overrated submission offence. Yeah sure he has a blackbelt, and he has won tourneys back in 03. But in MMA competition the last guy he subbed was back in 06 I believe and it was a no name. And his submission defense, yeah its good. But seriously is it great? Nobody has really TRIED to submit him and if anybody is gonna do just that its gonna be Werdum. I think Werdum could take this easily by submission in the later rounds.

Mir took Nelson down almost at will, i dont see why Werdum would have a problem doing the same. He is a black belt in judo so im sure he knows how to get a fight to the ground.

Ok why did i get two thumbs down?

I know Nelson is a black belt in BJJ but come on he is NOWHERE near the same level of BJJ is Werdum is.

And the thought of Nelson out grappling Werdum actaully made me laugh my ass off.

I like that on this site you can give thumbs up and down on any comment but sometimes you get thumbs down for no damm reason.

Dont know what you ******s are talking about but werdum should handle roy.  Most of you kids who go against roy are the same people who think alistair ubereem will be beat brock,  its funny as ****.  Roy has a McDonalds black belt compared to werdums.

@Severus I am picking Werdum but you're calling everyone that is picking Nelson "******s" when you actually contradict yourself in you're own post?.. Yeah real smart.

Nelson has deceptively good jiu jitsu. He beat Mir in a pure bjj match. I'm not saying he is a better grappler than Werdum, but i do think he has enough wherewithal to keep from being submitted

@ben .. that was when Roy wasn't THAT fat and Mir wasn't really taking it seriously.. You saw the results of a focused Mir in their fight.

Nah the most recent Mir/Roy fight was mostly so lackluster due to Roy being very sick. And Mortis are u sure Roy subbed Mir in that grappler's quest match? I thought he won on points. Doesn't really matter just wondering.

He didn't sub Mir. He won on points and @mulefloyd .. Yeah just like Big nog was sick in the first fight with Mir.. I hate ******* excuses, If you're going to make excuses after losing a fight then don't take the fight.

He won on points. I'm not saying he's better than Mir, he's not. What i'm saying is that you shouldn't expect werdum to submit him

Werdum could get a submission on Nelson, it's a fight anything can happen. If Werdum can get a submission on Fedor who was never submitted it can happen to Roy too.
