I dont think there are very many heavyweights that can stop lesnars takedowns. JDS isnt one of them that can.

Too much to read for me right now. I got to page 3 lol. If Brock gets JDS down he's not in any unknown territory. He's a brown belt in jiu jitsu and trains at Blackhouse. He's not going to lay on his back lazily looking for subs from there like Mir. Brock doesn't have great sub defense he just has a crazy wrestling base, but that could cost him if he doesn't watch out for subs from JDS. JDS can use his submission game to look for the opportunity to get up or lock one in.
Brock won't win this fight unless he can effectively move his head enough to get away from JDS's shots and then shoot for a take down. He can't come steam rolling in when the round starts because it's too predictable and will get an uppercut to the jaw.
I can see this happening again.

I'm not 100% certain who i'm going with on this one, I like JDS and picking him for now but it could change before the fight takes place

As much as I like JDS and Nogueira BJJ, I doubt he'll do much off his back against Lesnar. He can maybe look to set something up from deep half, but Brock is huge, strong as hell, and trains under Comprido, who seems pretty confident in Brock's jits.

I think Brock gets him down early and grinds on him. I don't think JDS will be able to escape.

Here is how I think the fight is going down. First round Lensar takes him down and does some GnP for the whole round.

Dos santos does not want to be taken down again so he get's really aggressive and knocks him out early in the second round.

@ Thiago: I like that you support your favorite fighter(s) and you're getting a lot of flak for thinking Brock's gonna steamroll JDS. I see you are a man of conviction, that is an admirable quality. That said, however, it has become apparent you've lost all objectivity. I mean, I COULD picture Brock laying on JDS for a boring decision, but a TKO in the 2nd rd? Not likely at all. Take my words for what they're worth, I casually pick around 80%, mind you:)

i have both of these guys i the top 4 of my HWs rankings. this is a tough pick to make. Brock has been through the fire and will be JDS's biggest test to date. JDS is highly motivated and will be tough to stop. i'm thinking great fight here.

Also @ YASPAA, in my own defense, I've been on this site less than half the time you have, and have picked more fights. I rarely labour (i see your in England) over my picks, as I've said "I casually pick" on fights. Also, I'm not afraid to pick on fighters i'm not so familiar with (see my losses ha). Point being, i AM, in a hypothetical sense, better qualified to "pull the percentage card" than yourself. If you did i wouldn't fault you, I'd say something like "that Yaspaa, he's tougher than a $2 steak, and knows his mma too."

@DV8EDSEPTUM... I see no reason why Brock couldnt get a tko? He has tkod Randy and also Mir who is a much bigger threat on the ground than Dos Santos ever will be.... He has only been to decision once and it was entertaining so i cant see why youd think hed be in a boring decision...Ya man good pick % but your not getting 100% so im not gona change my pick cause you have a good % and think ~JDS will win haha.

Social graces? I'm not sure what I said comes under that. Nobody on the site has a high percentage like that with over 100 fight predictions, because MMA is too unpredictable, it doesn't matter how much of an aficionado you are, I only expect my percentage to drop, it's inevitable. I certainly wasn't insulting your MMA knowledge.

It's hard to compare pick %'s when one person only picks 1-3 specific fights per card, against another person who makes a pick on every fight, even Bellator and all the rest.

Neither way is right or wrong. You should only make picks on the fights you want to. Nobody who picks every fight is at 80%. 70% and you're a baller.
