Alright folks,

As you might know I'm Tapology Boxing editor. I know the majority of you guys are here for MMA, so was I originally. But for the last year or 2 there is a little more interest in Boxing on the site.

So here's a place to talk boxing.

I'm trying not to talk too much about that fight because I don't want to get my hopes up!!
I've heard some recent rumours about November but who knows??
I've always thought Bud wins the fight. He's so good!!! I even think he stops Errol late. Not that I don't think Spence is a great fighter, he is. His jab is 1 of the best around and he is a great body puncher too. Bud is just another level I feel. Also, he is the best finisher in boxing. He gets you hurt you are done! Bud is faster too, I can see him landing hurtful counters all night.

It is a great fight, probably the best fight to make in all boxing at the moment, I can't think of another between 2 P4P guys in the same weight class, maybe Beterbiev Bivol? Whatever, I just want it to hurry up and be announced!!!!
They have dragged this fight out for nearly 5 years now!!! Luckily both guys are still undefeated, have all the belts and the fight is as big as its ever going to be now.

Make the god damn fight already!!!!!

See, this is why I try not to talk about this fight because I get annoyed that it hasn't happened or been announced yet😑😂

The fight really comes down to who can control the ring generalship, and I'm not too confident either way.

I don't want to kybosh it, but honestly that fight has the potential to be really, really ****. Counter-puncher southpaw vs pressure southpaw. Both of them trying to set up topside shots with ranged body attacks. They're incredibly similar fighters who ramp up as the rounds get deeper. There could be a whole lot of 'controller disconnected' moments especially through the first 6.

I'm pretty confident Crawford wins a clear dec TBH. Spence actually isn't as technical as Crawford and doesn't have his footwork. He's always really square in his attacks, and throws singles and doubles with his dominant hand off the break/when countering. Bud is better in that capacity, he throws counters in combination ambidextrously, and with better distance management--in fact hes far better with his right generally. Keeps his range better. Spence is often too deep in the pocket and is there to be hit in the exchanges. He's also pretty vulnerable to the body on the back foot, Garcia caught him a few times with some really bad body shots. If that had been crawford he might have got Indongo'd. The Porter fights between both of them are the only fights you need to watch to get a good read, really. He struggled with Porter and got hit far worse in that fight than Bud did.

Spence does hit harder and I don't care what anybody thinks about that, he just does. But I'm 70% confident he gets finessed pretty handily by Crawford.

I've pretty much lost all hope of this fight happening so I'm at the point where I'll believe it when I see it lol.  Though I really hope it happens.  I got Crawford all the way.  Actually got to meet him in June at the SHOBOX event in Oneida, NY for the hall of fame.  Him and his group were sitting directly behind me lol.

@Mikey I'll concede that my grammar, syntax and punctuation on Tapology is fairly abysmal. I will also freely admit that yes, I am in fact ********. I suppose there's ostensibly very little difference between us at all really, with a few notable and probably minor exceptions. For example, when I'm typing out my daily pishposts, I'm doing it in the privacy of my home--not on a compaq Pentium 4 circa 2004 that is the colour of a white mudflap on a ten-year-old Lorry. I am not laying on the steps of a public library by a brown paper bag containing three empty bottles of rubbing alcohol, all of which have been imbibed. I am not wearing a rhinestone trackie richly decorated in McDonald's condiment stains. A cluster of barnacles has not sprouted from the largest toes on both my left and right feet, and a sign fashioned out of the back side of a carton of Carlsberg that simply reads: Feed? Is not fastened to my chest with scavenged chewing gum.

I will not be passed by a man in blackout sunglasses, raking the pavement with a ball-ended stick, and he will not pause to dourly sniff the air, and thoughtfully inquire of his handler: 'Did a low-flying tip-gull just swoop overhead carrying a rock crab that died of sunstroke on a pier two days ago'? And I will not, for the second time this week, be unceremoniously hosed (to a chorus of applause by nearby commuters) like the dung of a mounted policeman's pony, into the gutter, with a high-pressure gurney wielded by heavily tattooed and bearded council worker wearing high visibility overalls. And she will not be my maw.

Genuinely saddened about the passing of the one and only acorn. One of my favourite characters in boxing. Really good dude. He had a good innings for a big feller I suppose, especially being a pro Boxer who fought the greatest HW's of all time, and will always be mentioned among them. He will go down as one of if not the hardest punchers in history. 78 ain't bad.

I own a glove he signed. I will never sell it.

R.I.P Ernie Shavers. An absolute legend who is the hardest puncher in boxing history IMO. I remember having a discussion with a friend of mine about a year ago where we were discussing how hard Deontay Wilder actually hits and he phrased the question as "How hard does Wilder hit on a scale of 1 to Ernie Shavers?" A simple joke but one that stuck with me due to the sheer accuracy of it.

Kenshiro vs. Kyoguchi

https://www.tapology.com/fightcenter/events/92696-kenshiro-vs-kyoguchi

Fantastic fight card from Japan announced earlier today!!!
WBC Champ Kenshiro Teraji will face WBA and Ring Magazine Champion Hiroto Kyoguchi.
This is a Japanese super fight!!! Between the no. 1 & 2 guys in the division, who are also fringe P4P guys (top 30/40)
Not a lot of people pay attention to the little guys but, just like in MMA, these guys are some of the most technical fighters you'll ever see who tend to put on high volume, fast paced action fights.

Also on the card 1 of Japans top prospects Shoki Iwata gets a shot at the WBO 108lbs Champ Bomba Gonzalez.

Current WBO Flyweight Champion Junto Nakatani who is yet another fantastic young Japanese boxer who is headed towards multi weight World titles and P4P status making his debut at Super Flyweight vs long established top 10 ranked Mexican Francisco Rodriguez Jr.
This could set up another fantastic all Japanese Super fight against current WBO 115lbs Champ and top 10 P4P Kazuto Ioka! WOW!

Kyoguchi fights on DAZN and Nakatani has appeared on Top Rank shows lately so hopefully 1 of them picks up the international broadcast rights because I need to see Kenshiro Kyoguchi and finding Japanese broadcasts is near impossible!!!!

That's HUGE! Hopefully this fight doesn't get stuck in region lock purgatory like Tenshin vs Takeru did.

Just a little tidbit.  The social gloves card next weekend, the one with the influencer main card and pro prelims, the guy fighting Marco Deckmann on the prelims is one of the guys Jussie Smollett paid to beat him up so he could stage a hate crime lmao
