I watched fights for 15 years before I started betting. Not that betting was a thing way back when.

You mean posting a selfie like this for example?

Right click an image and click 'copy image link' or 'copy image adress'. Then hit the image button when you post and paste that link. If you need a program to take a quick snap picture of anything and automatically upload it to the internet for easy sharing I recommend gyazo.

this fight is amazing. Not the most entertaining but if you know the history it's great. CLS is an extremely skilled fighter who has been practicing most of his life and has shown a level of skill that is unmatched on the uk regional amateur scene. Mickey on the other hand has only been practicing MMA for 4 years and has shown to be skilled but lacks the athletic ability possessed by guys like CLS. CLS is a stoic petr yan esque fighter with amazing striking and great anti wrestling abilities, while Mickey is a goofy dude who's a bit lanky and awkward, and insist that he is infact "the Indian Chuck Norris". Well after this performance it's safe to say he is. Complete domination

Josh Barnett Proposes Rule Changes

I think he has a point about weight cutting and round scoring, but I don't think kickboxing has taken over as much as he claims.

Might seem like a weird thing to ask but is anyone not feeling "extra hyped" for UFC 300? Don't get me wrong, it's a stacked card and I'm very much looking forward to it but I wouldn't say I'm any more hyped for it than any of the other numbered UFC cards. I've had some friends of mine who have previously taken little to no interest in MMA talk to me about it (including one "die hard" fan who didn't realise that Alex Pereira is no longer the Middleweight champ) and that combined with all the hype I've seen for months on social media makes me feel like it should feel like a once in an every few years level event but in all honesty, I feel the same now as I did in the lead up to UFC 299, UFC 298, UFC 297 etc.. Anyone feeling like this? Excited but not "Holy ****! It's finally UFC 300!" level excited?

@Stephen Terry

Not weird to me, I feel the same. I think for me it's because the main event is good and interesting but not one of those "can't wait" fights. It really is all that UFC 300 is lacking though to be an all-time great card on paper. If the main event was a real superfight. Also doesn't help that the other title fight seems onesided and is in WMMA which although I enjoy the highest level of athletes there a lot they rarely hit that "can't wait" status for me either.

the biggest ''difference'' might by feeling extra hype for the fact that's going to be interesting from top to bottom and not just interesting fights sprinkled across prelims (+women fights tactically spread throughout the card for bathroom breaks)

Personally 300 is pretty exciting but not in a top shelf all great fights champs v champs v legends etc blah blah.
There are a number of weird squash matches and a way past it freakshow wmma fight.
UFC has been more interested in low iq clickbait nobs than putting on edge of your seat best of the best matches.
Hmm turned into a tiny rant there..

Idk, I haven’t been watching mma as long as some people have so it’s just exciting for me because is a 00. I watched 100 and 200. They are held in such a high regard and I never got the pleasure to watch them live. It just feels like a whole new experience (it’s not). I guess it is just a number but I think it’s really because 100 and 200 were so memorable.

Posted on this awhile back, but it sounds like there's a very good chance the NHL will indeed be moving the Arizona Coyotes to Salt Lake City.

I would expect the UFC, at miminum, to continue doing events in Salt Lake City 2x a year well into the foreseeable future. That area is an absolutely booming population hub. If there goal is to get out of the APEX more, I wouldn't be surprised if they end up in Utah once a quarter.

I hope not, I don't like when they have fight at altitude. Fighters just perform worse there overall.

@foppa they have a contract with SLC to give them a ppv every year; the city pays ufc for it. Idk how long the deal is but SLC is trying to grow tourism so they’re trying to bring a lot of sporting events there, hence the coyotes coming to utah
