the owner of the "Longest Losing Streak" goes to BJ Penn at 7. He beat Matt Hughes in 2010, had a draw with Jon Fitch in 2011, then went and lost 7 straight in a row until his last fight in 2019.
and the owner of the "Longest Winless Streak" is Sam Alvey at 9. He beat Gian Villante in 2018, then from 2018 - 2020 lost 4 in a row, he had a split draw against Da Un Jung to close out his 2020, then proceeded to lose another 4 fights from 2021 - 2022, which puts him at 9 total fights he didn't win. If you count BJ's draw against Fitch it would put him at 8 winless fights, so Alvey beats him in that regard.

We're seeing a similar thing happen with Tony Ferguson now. He's on a 6 fight losing streak but he's still a very popular fighter due to his unique style and him being an absolute beast during his prime. I don't think he'll retire soon unfortunately for his own sake and as long as his large fan base keep tuning in to watch his fights then there's no real incentive for the UFC to cut him either. He may even go on and beat BJ Penn's record yet but I seriously hope he doesn't.

Who remembers him? He got some epic wins, and Norwegian/Scottish. Not many Norway standouts he is maybe the best one, unique career and character, I didn't get into MMA soon enough to follow his career though :( You can see the Scot in him when he fights though ha
