Mark Hunt hasn't won a fight since 2006 and is on a 6-fight losing streak, why he's still in the UFC just baffles me.  Yeah, he's a name that beat Cro Cop and Wanderlei, but that's ancient history.  Mark Hunt had nothing for Big Sexy, yet Sean looked completely outclassed by Stefan Struve.

I definitely see a decision here for Tuchscherer only because I don't think he has the ground skills to submit Hunt or the power to knock him out.

Chris should have no troubles taking him down and i can see even getting a sub.
I cant see him getting the tko but a sub or a ud is pretty likely
oh and lynxguy, he got a contract overlap from his former pride one he was owed a fight or two if memory serves.  When he loses this one he will be cut.

im hoping this one ends up an early KO as opposed to a slow paced fight that goes to decision.

I have no faith in Hunt winning fights in the UFC. He has yet to show he has the ability to do so. He got pretty much schooled in his last fight by one of the lowest level UFC HWs. Tuchscherer is a wrestler so I see him taking Hunt down maybe winning with a mounted key lock.

HUnt does have some pretty great potential but his ground game and tdd leave a lot to be desired.  I enjoyed his fights with crocop and i was hoping theyd match him up with pat barry, but they put him up against a wrestler hes going to get taken down and probably going to get subbed.

I found this fight pretty hard to pick I know Hunt has beaten legit heavyweights but he is on a 6 fight losing streak and it will probably be 7 ... And then he gets cut and most likely retires...

Taking Tuchscherer in this fight...Hunt seems to be running on empty recently and with HW I rarely see it going to the judges scorecards...So I'm going TKO Rd1

it would be stupid and sucidial to stand with hunt, Tuchscherer wont. he will take the fight down immidatley, work to side control, and finish the fight there by submission, just as McCorkle did.

Hunt is the same fighter he ever was in Pride and that's part of the problem. He is a good striker with no ground game. If anything has wavered since his time in Pride it's his ability to take a punch. Considering he has been stopped in MMA and K-1 since his Pride days. Hunt is riding a wave of popularity over two close if not undeserved split decision wins from over a half a decade ago. Any of his other wins are mediocre at best. Chris is a mediocre opponent right now if Hunt can't beat him I don't even see why to keep him around. Hunt has been in the sport for nearly 7 years it's amazing that he hasn't been able to improve his ground game over that time.

It doesn't seem like he's improved at all. The guy is 5-7 in MMA and for McCorkle to sub him so easily is just another sign of what BigJ is talking about. Loser goes home and if it's boring the winner might get cut as well. This has the Old School Days of UFC written all over it. Wrestler vs Striker - Whoever gets it to their game wins which is why i think it won't be all that exciting.

On a bright note - Tuch has one great thing going for him that Hunt doesn't and that's a bolstering MMA promotion in ND - he's had 4 events to date and they get better with higher caliber fighters in each event.
