how much would it cost any of you to get in the ring with Alistair Overeem?  i don't think 100K would cut it for me.

Fight might still be on... from what I can gather from reading different twitter accounts, at least.

As for the 100K, definitely not worth it if I'm going to end up eating a knee of death like Fujita. Fujita was basically in a coma.

I'm sure Duffee would take 100K in a heartbeat but when fighting in Titan Fighting Championships is more lucrative it's not a good sign.

Most of the 100k would be going towards the reconstructive surgery. But at least you can say 'I was there'!

Let's say they offered you $1,000,000 and you took it.  Would you bother training, or just show up since it wouldn't matter anyway?

I might just lift weights and get a tan so I looked ok on TV.

Rumor is Duffee fight is all but announced and he will get a guaranteed $60K.

Lifting weights is the way to go, you gotta make sure you don't look like a David and Goliath because I swear I could throw rocks at Overeems head all day and he'd still batter me.

Not a bad pay day for Duffee, wonder if he's still as ****y as he was supposed to be. A roundhouse can do wonders for a person's humility.

If they are doing 10 minute 1st rounds on this card, no way Duffee makes it out alive.

It was announced that the title fights will be old-school Pride 10-5-5 but that the non-title fights will for the first time in Dream/Dynamite switch to 5-5-5.

At least I hope that's accurate because that's how we've entered it here on the site.

For Dream HW title?

Prediction: correct Overeem   correct KO/TKO   correct Round 1

I don't know anything about this guy but he's been pretty accurate in what he's said about Overeem/Duffee so far.

So maybe this is for a title and it would be 10-5-5 after all.

Dream official just told me he's pretty sure Reem/Duffee is still for Dream HW Title... as if Alistair needed more bling.

Don't forget the fabulous guillotine. Duffee tastes Overeem's power, gets scared, and shoots in desperately, jumping right into the guillotine at 1:42 of round 1.

There had been rumblings on Twitter and whatnot a couple of days ago that Duffee hasn't really been training that hard lately, and was basically coasting up until this point. I don't know what to make of that, since he has that fight with Wagner scheduled in January, but it's possible he was taking the TUF vet lightly.  But now when you add in the fact that all reports point to him taking the fight against the advice of his manager Monty Cox, and things don't look promising for the Duffman.  And they weren't exactly optimistic to begin with.  All this stuff just raises questions about Duffee's commitment to the sport.  Hopefully he comes in physically ready for the fight, at least.

And Master Blaster raises a good point.  I have Overeem picked via world-ending KO, but his reemotine is definitely a dangerous weapon, especially if Duffee shoots in after being lit up.  If I wasn't so confident in a traditional Uberknee New Year's finish, I'd probably lean towards submission, too.

Duffee was born to be giant and beefy. Overeem has got that going for him and he also has been fighting his whole life.
