Mismatch of the night. I still don't buy McKenzie having UFC level ability.

@jeremy, i agree, it should be an easy win for Edwards, Cody doesn't really belong in the same ring as him.

In know way can I see Yves lose this fight. Easy fight to call: Edwards by being well rounded & not a one trick pony like his opponent.

@ jeremy, minotauro11, and yankees1, While i do agree yves should win i just cant shake the feeling he will underestimate cody to the point he loses. He plays other peoples games and that makes him lose sometimes.
Ive loved yves since the old ufc days.  I thought he was going to be the man for a long ass time, but he wasnt.  I follow yves on twitter also.

I cannot see a way in which McKenzie wins this. His stand up is non-existent. He would have to rely on getting the fight to the ground and keeping it there, probably by pulling guard. Edwards will have none of that. I can only see this one going by Edwards destroying McKenzie early.

Whew... looked dangerous for a bit there, and Edwards isn't physically the strongest lightweight out there, but McKenzie is just not well rounded enough.

Prediction: correct Edwards   wrong Decision  

This fight said a lot about both McKenzie and Edwards. McKenzie has got to improve his striking, but he's not a natural athlete and will have a hard time. Edwards is skilled but at 34 is not a destroyer. If McKenzie put him into a couple of tough positions, it won't get much easier for him.

But yes good fight!

McKenzie is suck a spastic awkward fighter. It's going to be hard to time him and mount a decent offense.Didn't think Yves would submit him but I did think he would finish him. Yves was able to keep out of danger, and was able to use his experience to win this.  I would like to see Cody take on a wrestler like Lowe or at least along those lines.
