Brooks vs. Shelton

i guess people are pretty hyped on this brooks guy? his record disappoints me. sure, he's 12-0, but he's been fighting guys with sub .500 records and even though his last opponent was 7-0, that guy was a sub-only fighter that was also feasting on sub .500 guys. it's easy to write shelton off after not winning tuf, but he lost to the eventual winner in elliot and then lost his debut to pantoja who is also super legitimate. shelton has the wrestling and ground game to really test this guy and see if he's just a pretender picking off scrubs.

I agree with you. I think Shelton will be able to grind out a win in this one.



Was really impressed with the way he came out against Elliot on TUF.

And he's basically fighting to stay in the UFC.

Not that I put much stock in it (nor does it make me look at this fight any differently)but including ammy fights Brooks is 25-0 with around 20 finishes.With that said Shelton has 11 ammy wins.I have seen Brooks fight but I honestly don't remember them in detail.I'll have to watch some footage on Brooks cause Shelton is no joke.I'm going to assume Shelton will be the bigger fighter with Brooks fighting at 115 multiple times and being at least 3" shorter.The size could make quite a difference in what I expect to be a kinda grapple heavy fight.Shelton seems to improve a ton each fight so i'll be keeping that in consideration when I pick this fight.

I was really high on Shelton before he was on TUF, and he certainly didn't disappoint. Hopefully he can pick up the win here.
