I don't see Boetsch having a style that will be tough for Souza at all. Boetsch could pull off the shocking upset, but it would be very shocking indeed.

A late fight rally like in his upset win over Okami is unlikely.  Jacare is a better striker and if he takes Boetsch down, he'll have Boetsch tapping inside 2 minutes.

If Boestch wins, it's cause he goes all barbarian early in the fight before Jacare gets anything going.  Just think about Boetsch's fight with Luke Rockhold. This won't be much different.

This might sound crazy to some,

Prediction: wrong Boetsch   wrong KO/TKO   wrong Round 2

but I think Boetsch could win this fight if he is carefull.

He has power in both hands and decent takedown defense, so I think he can knock out the aging Souza Inside 2 rounds.

I don't think it's crazy at all. I always thought Jacare was kinda overrated. His striking is slow, he gases out and he flounders if he can't bully you. If Boetsch can channel his inner comeback kid, he can get the finish. He will probably be taken down, beat up a bit, but if he can survive or clip Jacare coming in, it wouldn't surprise me that much actually.

Boetsch has a chance because of his power, but still gotta take jacare, also tim isn't too good against submission fighters.

Prediction: wrong Boetsch   wrong Submission   wrong Round 3

I agree with everyone. Jacare has absolutely no chance here. Honestly the worst match-up for Jacare. I mean Jacare is an alright fighter but Tim Boetsch is just on another level everywhere.

In the first two rounds, Tim Boetsch absolutely gets destroyed. 10-7s all around. He gets taken down, mounted, crucified, and KOed and submitted at the same time. On most days the referee would have stopped the fight at any point, but Herb Dean says the show must go on.

Round 3 is about to start. Jacare is all gassed out from beating the **** out of Boetsch and the ****-beaten Boetsch is nothing like that at all. Unbeknownst to Jacare and everyone watching, Boetsch was only pretending to be beat up.

Round 3 is where Tim Boetsch shows his true powers. He goes up to Jacare and just tosses/ragdolls him around over and over and over....

and eventualy finishes him off with a flying barbarplata.

Prediction: correct Souza   correct Submission   correct Round 1

When Jacare fights anyone who isn't a very top level middleweight, they get finished(usually submitted).
When Boetsch fights top middleweights with high level ground games he gets submitted.

Seems obvious what should happen here unless Jacare gets stupid.
