Prediction: wrong McGregor   wrong KO/TKO   wrong Round 1

@vazio, since weight games are a norm in combat sports I'd assume someone unconfident would push for at least some sort of cut.

That point aside (since I didn't use it as a "winning argument", just a little point that shows the main drift), I seriously doubt any confidence issues and I tend to believe Conor. He blows stuff up and makes it pop louder, but from what I've seen to date it all stems either from the truth it at least what he sees as the truth.

Also, Nate didn't deny it, he just made it look like it was his coach who brought it up and not him (which I also believe too, I think Nate would've taken the fight at 155 too, then not make weight and forfit the fine because regardless of what some people think, he's a smart dude).

As for who's in who's head, I agree with you, in this particular fight I think it's a redundant argument since they'll both approach this fight as they always do regardless of any pre-fight banter. I believe neither are he type to get rattled enough to affect their styles.

  • It looks like Conor got what he wished for! There's going to be an upset and we have all seen highway robbery on the judging part! Let's hope it doesn't go to the judges.

Yes, I agree that they want Conor to win.

But going as far as accusing them of rigging it? Nah, ********.

You're just oblivious to the fact that Conor is legit. He can win without having fights rigged in his favor. Why can't you accept the fact that he's one of the best fighters in MMA right now? Running through all the guys he did to get to Aldo. Beats Mendes, proving the doubters wrong who were saying he's not worthy. And people STILL doubt him. He then knocks Aldo out in 13 seconds... How many people are capable of doing that? Wanna say that's rigged?

You're just a hater. That's all it comes down to. I'm not the biggest fan on Conor, either, but I'm not over here accusing the UFC of rigging his fights. You obviously have it in your head that Conor can't win without his fights being rigged. And you're not gonna change your mind, even with everyone telling you that you're obviously wrong.

I'm so ******* tired of this ****. People still saying that he got his title shot by beating Dennis Siver when it has been explained to them a thousand times that that was an extra fight he took just to stay busy. He got the title shot for knocking out the likes of dustin poirier and diego brandao, and if you think for some reason that those are not significant victories, recall that Mendes' streak leading up to his title bid was Lents, Guida, Elkins, Meza, McKenzie. Please remind me which of them is a top contender??? you ******* uninformed ****s. Can we please put this issue to bed now? Thank you.

Now, with all that said, it would actually be terrifically entertaining if Nate Diaz were to win this fight.

We can end this now but I will always think about what I mentioned. I know because I would do the very same thing if I was DW.

Yes, it will be entertaining if Nate wins.  It will really piss off Dana White.  :)

I was talking specifically about the issue of McGregor supposedly not having earned a shot at Aldo's title. I never want to hear that **** again. It's preposterous and very easily discredited.

Well, to be fair, this site can be full of what people do not want to hear.
Whether he earned it or not is all opinion. I am not right but neither are you as it is all opinion. Fair enough?

Ok dude. Everything is an opinion, and nothing is objective. Have it your own way. Just tell me one thing. Who in your opinion fought Aldo with a better record at featherweight?

Mendes, Edgar (earned because he was former LW champ) and Lamas.
Conor got his shot after beating Siver and should have fought fully trained Mendes and Edgar before Aldo.  He would not have gotten past either of them. You will say that everyone else was not available but then he should have waited for his shot. Others have waited.

I didn't say who should have fought Aldo at that time. Read. How many times are you going to evade this question? Here is it again the way i phrased it at 3:38pm today:

" recall that Mendes' streak leading up to his title bid was Lents, Guida, Elkins, Meza, McKenzie. Please remind me which of them is a top contender??? "

Do you want people on this forum to start taking you seriously? Then do yourself a huge favor, and for once in your life allow yourself to learn something new and admit it.

Wow, you know my whole life. You are east to irritste. You asked for a better record at Festherweight. I am toying with you and you keep falling for it. Never get emotional.
You do not know my life so you cannot judge on something "for once in my life". I said I would stop but you keep prolonging it.
