@Cthulhu, since her whole career (minus Tate) is less than 10 minutes long, that's pretty much accurate ;)

I'd actually like to see RR/Tate III.  Since Tate did so well in II, I expect good things in III.

Yeah, @buff, ask Zingano what she thinks about fight duration and it's relationship to respect and/or honor.

This fight is so awful. Bethe hasn't beaten any top 10. Her best win wasn't even one of her last two. Her best win was her UFC debut vs. Julie Kedzie, and that's a fight Kedzie should have won. Carmouche? Alright. Tate? Alright. McMann? Sounds good. Alexis Davis? Okay. Cat Zingano? Awesome. Those are all people that, on paper, may have presented some problems to Ronda. But Bethe? Why is this fight happening?

@mike I don't completely disagree with you but come on man....Alexis Davis okay? That was such a joke and I knew it from the second it was announced. That fight should have never happened. At this point there really isn't anything else for Ronda right now. Bethe talked her way into this fight so just enjoy the build up because the actual fight won't be competitive.

Because Ronda want's to avenge her friends and no one has come close to beating her so they might as well sell the horsewomen story before Bethe hits her max potential wall. I would have liked a rematch with Cat or Sarah but what ever.. at this point im watching rousey fights to see how shes going to destroy her opponent not to see if her opponent can pose a threat to her. cause they can't.

I understand why they made the fight, but this is a squash match for Ronda.

Of the Brazilian girls, Nunes has a better shot than Betch.

Who knows? Nunes may be next after beating Baszler. Now all she has to do is beat Duke to earn the shot at Rousey....

It would be a mistake not to make this fight. Right now Correia is undefeated with some semblance of a personal conflict with Rousey. Jump on that ****, because there aren't exactly a lot of viable contenders in case you hadn't noticed.

It would absolutely be a mistake not to make this fight. I think the buildup is going to be great. Plus the UFC can try to stack the deck against her as much as they can, by putting the fight in Brazil, in Correia's home country. When was the last time an American UFC champion went to their challengers foreign home country to defend their belt?

@unbeknownst Not sure. Matt Serra losing to GSP in Montreal in April '08, maybe.

Aside from Serra going to Canada to defend against GSP in 2008 as zarog mentioned, I can't think of another more recent time that fit those specifications than UFC 29 in 2000 when Tito Ortiz and Pat Miletich went to Japan and both defended against Yuki Kondo and Kenichi Yamamoto on the same card.  It'll become a lot more common though with way more international events and twice the amount of belts as even a half dozen years ago.

^^^First Zuffa UFC event was UFC 30 though, so if it's only happened once in 14+ years since Dana and the Fertitta's came along after happening twice in the final two fights before they took over I guess there are no guarantees it'll become `a lot` more common, heh

Maurice Smith fought Couture in the first UFCJ.
Frank Shamrock fought John Lobar in the first UFC Brazil.
Both pre Zuffa, though.

The UFC is really going to have to stack the rest of the Main Card for this event.

Why buy the PPV to watch a Rousey fight when her last two fights have been available as a .gif 30 minutes after the fight and see 2 guys who are shadows of their former selves and what will most likely be their last fight? So it's not worth $60 in my eyes.
