Gastellum and Escudero and they won't be fighting. Weird coaching choice.

Yes, an odd choice.

It'll be funny if they try to give advice to a fighter who's struggling to make weight on the show ...

Coach: "Listen man, you just got to tough through it and get it done, we've all been there"
Fighter: "Shut the **** up you fat ****"

I hope for the sake of Gastelum's fighters they bring in another coach to help them with the weight cuts.

Of all the Mexican fighters the UFC keeps trying to push Efrain. Da ****.

One that can't make weight, and the other one that really shouldn't be in the UFC to begin with.

Efrain has really improved over the last 2 years. He's not a world beater, but he definitely belongs in the UFC.

I don't have much hope for Efarin in the UFC but he is better that a lot of UFC fighters.

He did win a TUF before and so did Gastelum.

Maybe so, but neither are what you'd call "coach material", they're not going to fight, they don't have star power (Efrain won't ever have it and Gastelum's not quite there yet) ... so their criteria is ...they have Mexican moms?

Not that I really mind, most likely won't watch so they can put Papa smurf and a beetle as coaches as far as I'm concerned. I guess no real harm done, it's only TUF Latin America.

They both speak Spanish, that's all that matters.  Actually, I don't know if Gastelum speaks Spanish.  Whatever.

Kelvin and Efrain are both of Mexican decent, both speak spanish as far as I know and both know what it takes to win TUF. They are going to have actual MMA coaches with them during filming that will handle all the actual coaching and this will help market Kelvin and to a lesser extent Efrain to the Mexican audience.

Kelvin is the son of Mexican immigrants born in the US and Efrain was born in Mexico and later moved to the USA.  I think they can attract Mexican audiences they both speak better spanish than Cain.

Edit: at this point I don't think the mexican audience care much for UFC stars, they care more about mexicans in the UFC, so I get it why they are having them coach TUF, this is not about creating future champions or even prospects this is only about creating audience in Mexico and/or latin america, I don't think the UFC intends to make latin TUF an international show, they are just tailoring it for Mexico and Latin america

Meh, I don't have many complaints in terms of how TUF: Latin America 2 is being set up.  The UFC is trying to spread the sport into all the countries south of the U.S.-Mexico Border that isn't named either Brazil. Until recently, a lot of the Latin American countries (minus Brazil) haven't been seen as a hot bed for top MMA prospects (with some exception to Peru, Mexico, and Argentina).

My only gripe is that it's another Lightweight and Welterweight TUF season again, for the umpteenth ******* time.  FFS, why can't the UFC do an all flyweight Ultimate Fighter already?

UFC just entered the Russian market. Eastern Europe is probably the best place to find HWs. Maybe they do a TUF Russia or TUF East Europe HW and pull from all the former Soviet countries.
