In the spirit of these last few days, here's a new game I'd like to play.

Each person creates 2 lists, 5 dudes he feels are most definitely juicing and dudes he's positive aren't.

For every "juicer" that gets caught in 2015, if he gets caught after or leading up to -

His 1st fight since listed : 100 points
His 2nd fight since listed : 50 points
His 3rd fight since listed : 25 points
His 4th fight since listed : 10 points

If he escapes 2015 without getting caught : -150 points

For every "clean" fighter that gets caught in 2015, if he gets caught after or leading up to -

His 1st fight since listed : -100 points
His 2nd fight since listed : -50 points
His 3rd fight since listed : -25 points
His 4th fight since listed : -10 points

If he escapes 2015 without getting caught : 150 points for every clean fight (so picking Cain Velasquez isn't the best thing ;) )

Criteria: Fighter must fight at least once in 2015, if he doesn't, 0 points.

EDIT #1:: EVERYTHING counts, not just PEDs and not just in competition. We're not NSAC *******, you get caught for something, weed, Cocaine, bath salts, elevated T/E levels, etc, you gets scored.

EDIT #2 :: Only UFC fights count. You can trade a fighter on your list at any time, if you got him on the list before he gets caught, you get scored for him :)

I doubt anyone picked him, but Jeorge Oliveira got popped.  I think this is the first failure in the UFC since the game started,

On a positive note, Johny Hendricks didn't pop positive for UFC 185.   So there is 150 points to me. :)

I think my pick of Rampage was a dumb idea, considering how he will probably never fight in the UFC again.

So, I'm going to swap out Rampage.  With that here is my new list.

Will Get Caught:
  • Vitor Belfort
  • Ronaldo "Jacare" Souza
  • Dan Henderson
  • Tyron Woodley
  • Khabib Nurmagomedov

Will Stay Clean:

  • Alexander Gustafsson
  • Johny Hendricks
  • Chris Weidman
  • Donald Cerrone
  • Gunnar Nelson

I hope the first person to fail a random test with no fight scheduled gets representation immediately and challenges it due to their independent contractor employment status, which should fall outside the legal boundaries of the USADA when they have no future fight signed at the time of the test.  I didn't study law at all but even if under contract, the UFC considers their fighters to be independent contractors.  With no future fight contract signed, any random test I would imagine falls outside of what the USADA should legally be allowed to test/punish going by workplace drug testing laws.  I'm looking forward to the many different ways the new policy can be challenged since I'm obviously not rooting for any fighters to get suspended for years.

Out of curiousity, anyone know if the new policy will have already taken effect for Mike Richman's upcoming suspension?  EDIT: Just looked it up, looks like he got the two years.

Not everything that gives a year or more suspension is a PED though.

And we can't take every test at face value.  Nick Diaz for instance passed a drug test the night of his Anderson Silva fight at 7:12pm, tested over double the limit for marijuana metabolites at 10:38pm right after his fight, and then passed his third test of the night at 11:55pm.

All 3 were run through a WADA full menu, which includes drugs of abuse (marijuana, cocaine, etc.)

It's just not possible to pass, fail at over double the limit 3 1/2 hours later, but then pass again an hour afterwards.

And there will always be a small percentage, but a percentage nonetheless, of those testing positive for PED's that legitimately didn't knowingly take them.  Whether they took something from someone they trusted or the product they used was mislabeled with its actual ingredients as many still are.

I don't disagree with the punishments, I just think they should've focused on shoring up some remaining gray areas in their processes and procedures before focusing on the punishments.
