@Kpro,

"Conor also has a tier based PPV contract ($3 per PPV sold if in the 300k-500k range, $4 per if in the 500k-750k range, $5 per if in the 750k+ range)"

I was always under the notion that the tier based PPV clauses were more along the lines of an amount per tier rather than the price per PPV sale increases according to the total amount of PPV buys.

For example:

If the event does 800K buys is goes:

500K * $3 = $1.5 MIL
250K * $4 = $1 MIL
50K * $5 = $0.25 MIL

For a total of $2.75 MIL, rather than just 800K * $5 = $4 MIL

I may be wrong, I'm not sure I remember the exact wording last time I saw one of those PPV cut clauses, but that's how I always remembered it. You're most likely the one who's got it right though, I'm pretty ignorant to those things usually.

Rib injury is a great excuse for Aldo to use when he loses.

With all Aldo's done in this sport I find it VERY hard to believe he's one to look for excuses.

According to him, Aldo would lose 3.5 million dollars in bonus if he didn't show up.
500k to show + 250k if he wins + 3.5kk in bonus = 4.250kk. That's the estimated amount of money Aldo will be fighting for.

@Yoss - That's the way I remember Eddie Alvarez's contract being when it went public.  It's entirely possible where the info came from on Conor's was `lost in translation` on that point between contract and the text it's in above.  Because the details are obviously not in the same wording they'd be in if in a contract.

Jose Aldo has been in many wars and McGregor should show more respect for him. Aldo is a dangerous striker, though with limited knockout power. McGregor is also a very smooth striker and has a bigger arsenal with his strikes. I see this becoming a war and even though McGregor has not been in deep waters yet, I see him taking the decision.

Nah man...I feel that rib thing is just there so it can be used if/when Conor beats that egg in.  Aldo also seems pissed and a little worried at the same time.  All the other antics and whatnot.  That could be fake and set up to promote the fight. None of that matter except for the rib thing.  Even if it isn't true, it's just the fact it got brought up.

Conor wins, UFC/Aldo could try to say it wasn't fair.  Aldos rib, blah blah blah.

I've always wanted to know, when there is injuries like this, and ones that seem fake and only used to run from a fight, do they ever get documented? Or is it just Word of mouth?

There were apparently multiple medical reports, one (the brazilian one) saying his rib or ribs are fractured and the American dr's apparently concluded they were just badly bruised.I haven't seen these documents so I have no clue of the validity. For all I know Aldo came up with this, the odds swung 100 points (at one point -189 now +133 most of the movement after the announcement of the injury),now he throws a million on himself lol.I don't really trust much in sports, but the reports sound legit,so I think they probably are.

I have had my fair share of broken ribs and badly bruised ribs, you can hardly sleep or move,I really don't think he'll be fighting. If he does fight and looks fantastic, i'll know some ********ting happened by someone.People who have had broken ribs know what I mean.Or this is all just to drum up hype and get people talking, which wouldn't surprise me either.I think the UFC probably knows if he's fighting or not,I personally think he isn't and UFC is milking Aldo vs Connor till the last minute so the casual fans don't even notice the switch to Chad..With Aldo fighting in like 3 or 4 out of his last 10 scheduled fights its sad to say I expected something like this from the beginning.

You might be right about that to some extent. I guess we'll see once Aldo is inspected by UFC doctors. It honestly wouldn't shock me if they let him fight with an injury and gave him an immediate rematch if he lost. I'm torn on whether or not I want to see Aldo in this fight if he's that banged up. I want to see this fight, and I'm not sure if we'll get another chance to see it if Aldo winds up pulled and Mendes steps in for him.

Honestly wouldn't mind Mcgregor/Mendes if Aldo pulls out due to the rib injury because we get the chance too see if Mcgregor can actually hang with a high-level wrestler in Mendes, even though it should be Edgar replacing Aldo in this case.

You pick pretty much only UFC and Bellator level events and at 60%....that's ******* horrible.

I just found out i'm related to Superman and all though I can't see who wins like you can with your remote viewing powers I was able to look at a recent picture of Jose Aldo, use my x-ray vision, and finally come to a conclusion about the rib. It's not broken,it's hardly even bruised,he's gonna win!I know it's hard to believe, not that I have x-ray vision, but to be able to use it on a picture?Well I can and I didn't even know it till recently when I was looking through old family photos and I was like **** yeah, this is awesome! It's not certain he's going to win everyone,so i'm not saying go put all your money on him,but you should probably go put all your money on him cause I basically have super powers.Damn,I need to learn remote viewing to know for sure though. We should make a super hero team for BLC and all use our super powers together like X-Men!

He makes those supremely accurate predictions every time when he's back from being suspended on the off chance he might once get lucky and be able to brag about it later. Here's one from earlier this month:

"If the enemy rejects the ground, I would take him down by tackle. Why didn’t he [Royler] do so? May I introduce him to a good coach? His tackle was... like a girl’s one... Mr. Royler, how are you feeling?" - Kazushi Sakuraba
