I didn't saw anything on Tapology about Silva so i decided to keep you guys updated on his injury:

-Fortunately, his skin has not broken and the bones and the tissues were not exposed. This increase in a million chance of an infection in a place like the Octagon. Moreover, his leg after fracture, moved in a way that the artery was not achieved. If that had happened, it could generate a very serious vascular problem which could end in an amputation.

-The bones they heal itself. But he will have to go to therapy to have a perfect movement of the knee and ankle.

The expectation is that Anderson take three to six months to recover and six to nine months to be released to retrain. This has even been the first concern of the former champion.

- He then asked me if I could train again. I said yes. Then he wanted to know when.
Doctor Steven Sanders also said that Silva still is not expected to be discharged from the hospital where he is hospitalized.

Dr Seagal will have him back in the cage by the end of next week.

It's crazy to think he could be ready for 2014 NYS card.

It's hard to fathom his asking when he could resume training.  He must drink Dragon's milk and have Tiger DNA flowing through him.

I just cannot understand his mind.  Call me a civilian, call me a *****, but I'm so confused that I must learn to shut up.

It would seem to me that if he ever kicked again with that leg, it would re-shatter all over again.

I'm sticking with the 18 months timescale I mentioned the other day before he fights again. Just not sure if it will be MMA though - I hope it is.

Kevin Ware was out 8 months and Corey was out about 13 months... docs say Anderson's age shouldn't matter and there was no previous damage, so the odds are in Anderson's favor IF he still is there mentally.

I'm just going by the six-nine months to train estimate. How long do you need to train to be ready for a fight camp for a fight at the top level in the UFC? His next fight might be his last fight, win or lose - so why rush or risk anything by coming back too soon?

They can rebuild him, they have the technology.

If they can rebuild him with their technology, and he is ready to fight within 18 months, and if he can throw leg kicks again on his rebuilt left leg, and have them as effective as before, I will be shocked into silence.

And I'm not easily shocked into silence.  I will be flabbegasted, dumb-founded, awe-struck, astounded, amazed, agog, thunderstruck, astonished, stunned, stupefied, dazzled, floored,  speechless, staggered and overwhelmed.

I would also be quite surprised.  All in a quite good way.  I'm hoping they can do it.

But I'm from Missouri on this one.  That means, 'I'll believe it when I see it.'

Despite my skepticism, I'm all in hoping against hope that these medical and rehap people can pull off this miracle.

God I hope they can!
