So.. pretty disastrous weigh-ins for WOCS.
Pedro Nobre, Kevin Pereira and Junior Kamikaze didn't make wieght this afternoon for their respective bouts. And that pretty much destroyed WOCS Flyweight Tournament.
Nobre was just 0.5kg overweight and showed up 3 hours late for the weigh-ins. For that, he was automatically disqualified.
Pereira was 2kg overweight, and Kamikaze 1.8kg. Both were disqualified too.
Organizers Otávio "Tatá" Duarte and Phillip Lima said that the case was "absurd, a complete lack of profissionalism and this kind of action by fighters only hurt MMA as a legitimate sport." They've said they are trying to make WOCS the most professional league in Brazil, and were forced to disqualify the athletes.
So... new main event between the only fighters to make weight (still a torunament semi-final)!
