I'm leaning Cain, but damn this is a tough one to pick.

I'm leaning towards Cain, and I think he might even be able to finish JDS in the rubber match. This is a tough pick though

The ufc excels at matching up fighters based on their styles and characteristics. its getting harder and harder every year to pick big fights. I want JDS to win, but im thinkin cains figured him out and will probably seal the deal. decision or late finish

I love and hate this matchup because I love both fighters. JDS knocked out Cain before I could decide who to root for in the first fight, and in the second fight, I was rooting for both guys.

Cain is obviously the better striker, best wrestler, faster. This will be a repeat of the second fight.

I agree that the rubber match is gonna be more of the same, but don't say cains the better striker, cause hes not. his wrestling beat jds, not his hands. that's not to say he cant knock him out, im just sayin jds is just way more technical on his feet, and has made a name for himself as one of the best boxers in mma.

wasn't callin you out, just putting my 2 cents in.

@nojuice Agreed. JDS is the best technical striker in MMA imo, but Cain dominated the striking game in that fight.

GTFOH with that ****.  JDS is not the best technical striker in MMA.  Being the best boxer in the UFC HWT division does not make you the best technical striker in MMA.

to start your education process go look into Tyron Spong then comeback and tell me when youre ready for step 2.

JDS is the best technical striker in MMA? Wow..

You could probably name 4-5 more technical strikers on Bellator's roster let alone in the UFC..

Best technical striker?

Uhh is Michael Cole commentating for the UFC now?

Best boxer in the heavyweight division sure, but not even close to being the best technical striker.

2 thumbs down? Hmm..

Cosmo Alexandre
Michael Page
Diego Nunes

Those are 3 that easily come to mind

Pat Curran and Mike Richman are two more that are also very talented strikers. Are they more technically sound than JDS? Maybe not.

A good lighter weight striker is going to be just as technically sound as a great HW striker if not better in most cases for the simple reason that he/she has to be.

Explosiveness and raw power are always going to be on the side of the heavyweight whereas lighter fighters can't afford to throw anything that isn't as technically perfect as it can possibly be if they want to make any impact standing. Simple.
