We need to see an Overeem/Duffee rematch.

I'd rather see Overeem vs. Lashley.  It would probably be the first MMA fight where someone dies of exhaustion.

Overeem has been put out brutally in all his KO losses, what is there left for this guy? I think it's a Keith Jardine situation here and he has tons of will and power left, he just doesn't have the chin. Put him against Phil De Fries lol

Overeem vs Struve would be an interesting match to see I think, it makes sense ranking wise and the timing is right too.

I don't think Struve can survive the barrage of strikes that Overeem threw at Browne.

I'm too lazy to do it, but i'd love to see a pic of Overeem when he was with strikeforce or K1 next to a pic of Overeem now. He weighted 255 for this fight and look significantly smaller. It's clear he either abused steroids in the past and needs TUE or he was still abusing them up to his fight with Lesnar.... One things is for sure, Overeem looks nothing like he used to two years ago.

This fight really bugged me.

1) Overeem learned nothing from last time, by not doing something they teach you on day one of striking: COVER UP!

2) Browne not only telegraphed those kicks, but he threw them several times. You think that Overeem would pick up on that.

Reminds me of every saying that has to do with making the same mistake over and over again

I only see two big problems with Overeem in this fight: 1. his cardio 2. his fighting IQ I know he doesn´t have a good chin but getting KO´d by a frontal kick and even more a by HW and huge guy like Browne doesnt scream glass chin, so this is not my main concern.

getting back to point 1. his cardio is a huge issue, is not something you can easily improve it takes a lot of time and dedication to improve your cardio, and if he doesn´t really comit to it he will keep losing against top competition. 2. next to his cardio I think his fighting IQ is his next big problem, he doesn´t seem to work on a strategy except to kick, knee and punch guys untill they fall, and when they don´t he gasses and loses, plus he is a smug fighter who shows no or very little respect in the cage, he didn´t against Lesnar (which it work because Lesnar was not good at taking punches) he didn´t against Silva and got him KO´d he seemed to learn his lesson against Browne, but he wasn´t defending the punches very good. he is not a smart fighter, he hurt Travis he could have taken the fight if he paced himself and pick Browne apart he has the skill to do it but not the brains nor the cardio.

and as long as he doesn´t change that, he will keep losing to top HW´s

Had Overreem picked his shots instead of going ape **** he might have gotten the KO. Good for Browne for coming back. Come back of the year? I suppose, because I can't think of any others right now, but I hope this isn't it.

I don't really think it was a cardio issue. Watch the replay of the KO. Overeem was ******* smirking right before Browne threw the last kick. Like he was saying "you think that's gonna hurt me?"

^^Disagree on the cardio issue - i think it was a major problem. If Overeem had any cardio he would have been able to finish the fight. You could see his punches getting slower and slower as he was trying to overwhelm Brown, and when Travis stood back up his knee's and kicks were much slower as well. He did let off and tried to recover, but there is no doubt he was exhausted, he was just being arrogant and ****y and trying to hide his fatigue.

Overeem's best years are behind him, i loved watching him fight, but without TUE he isn't the same guy.

I think all the body kicks Browne threw before also played a big part in slowing Overeem down.

what struck me was overeem's inability, or refusal, to chance tactics when T-brow began to have some success with those kicks. Overeem just tries to overwhelm his opponent with his power. Unsatisfied with his lack of adaptability.

I'm not saying that Overeem didn't slow down. Who wouldn't after that barrage of strikes he threw? I think it was more of the disdain for Browne than the cardio. Plus, we've seen fighters completely gas and not get knocked out if they are covering up and keeping their distance. Overeem did none of that.

@amp  I´m not saying he got KO´d because he gassed, but his cardio was definetly a big factor in his loss, even Browne himself said his body shut down when he was getting hit, only when Overrem tired and slowed down was that Browne got back up, I´m not taking credit from Browne, he showed great heart and technique, but he wouldnt have gotten the chance to show it if it wasn´t for Overeem´s terrible cardio.

he got KO´d because a well conected front kick by a huge HW, I didn´t saw him disrespecting his opponent this time, he just got caught and in part was because he was already moving very slow...because of his bad cardio

Reem's still a beast.

Prediction: wrong Overeem   wrong KO/TKO   wrong Round 1

Hes looked good in his last two fights but hes lost both of them by knockout. Its very strange.

He dominated BigFoot until he got knocked out and then he did the same to Browne. He was smashing him but Browne kept throwing those stupid kicks and for some reason Reem didn't think to block the one that sent him into La La land.

Very frustrated by the outcome of this fight. Pretty bummed.
