EA Sports UFC thread.

I know there are obviously a ton of people on here that are excited for this game, and with some big gaming 'dates' coming within the next few months, we will probably be hearing some legit news about this game soon. I will update this thread as regularly as possible, if you guys find some cool stuff about it, post away! I know there is a video game thread but I don't wanna totally flood that thread with just stuff about the UFC game, so I will just make a thread dedicated to it.

 

Also, EA just launched an official website for the game recently .. today. So that must mean something is coming soon.

What would be a cool feature if when someone gets cut they take them out of the game and when the UFC brings in new fighters they put them in the game. I don't know, it just seems like it would be cool and make the game feel more "up to date".

Yeah but that means wasted money and time.  Instead they should just have a big update every once in a while with the new foghters.   For free of course, but this is ea.

That is a terrible idea, Who would want them to take out fighters as they get cut.

This is EA, I fully expect to have to pay $15 dollars to use Jose Aldo..

Hope EA has no weird choices on the roster. For what reason were Kendall Grove and Sean McCorkle in UFC Undisputed 3?

Well I don't think they had a set number of slots to fill, It probably came down to rights and they could add them in the game for cheap/free. I don't think one of the guys you mentioned took someone like Gustafsson's spot.

The more the merrier. Go ahead and add CJ Keith.

EA UFC isn't a real MMA game if it doesn't have Eduard Falalalalaloto.

Nandor should be on the cover.

Just to **** with Dana we should start a campaign to write in vote for Frank Shamrock




And if we're lucky it will be like the EA Madden curse and Frank will break his mouth or something .

@curtwag84 EA rigs their cover votes bud, no point.

EA gets rid of all the players they don't want on the cover in the first couple of rounds and then eventually they start to actually take into count the people's votes.

Don't believe me? Then why hasn't a Toronto Maple Leaf or Montreal Canadien been on the cover of an EA NHL game in forever, yet they always have a player named as a starter in the All-star game? Why has Paul Bissonette never been in the final 16? Why has Sidney Crosby never been on an EA cover? Why was Pekka Rinne in the top 2 last year when he's a goalie for one of the smaller hockey markets in the league?

For the hockey games, EA rigs the cover votes to an extent. I assume they do it for the other sports as well.

The Facebook page for this game is so annoying. They just post random ****. Nothing about the game, ever. 

Just read that there won't be another Fight Night .. atleast for a longgg time anyway due to this game. That sort of makes me sad.

This is my viewpoint on the relationship between the UFC and EA. Look at it like this:

A friend comes up to you and talks so much shyt on a guy/girl, or even an ex-boyfriend or ex-girlfriend. They go on talking about them in a negative way for quite awhile. Being the good friend you are, you agree with them, tell them that they deserve better, and gather an idea on this other person that they are no good.

Later down the road, you find out that your friend is now dating said guy/girl or ex.. and you are like "***!?" 

"Oh, they're not so bad, really," they say.

But, you can't shake the image of this person that your friend gave you in the first place, out of your head.

With that said, we all know how our "friend" (being Dana White and the UFC) can be. And as some of us are gamers, we also know how EA can be.


In the end, it's all about money, anyway.

And I will probably try the game out.
