EA Sports UFC thread.

I know there are obviously a ton of people on here that are excited for this game, and with some big gaming 'dates' coming within the next few months, we will probably be hearing some legit news about this game soon. I will update this thread as regularly as possible, if you guys find some cool stuff about it, post away! I know there is a video game thread but I don't wanna totally flood that thread with just stuff about the UFC game, so I will just make a thread dedicated to it.

 

Also, EA just launched an official website for the game recently .. today. So that must mean something is coming soon.

Just read on the UOC that guys like Dillashaw, Bagautinov, Brown, Lombard, Woodley, etc will be released for FREE. The DLC portion will only be for the more 'specialty' characters like Bruce Lee or younger versions of fighters. No idea how legit this is, but hey. Seems genuine. GET HYPED!

Anyone here know if we would be able to simulate matches? I'd like to put computer Jones vs computer Cormier, computer Lawler vs computer Condit, etc. and just sit back and watch.

Bruce Lee with a 93 ground game? Because he was known for his awesome grappling, right? 

The game includes over 100 songs. 'Ain't No Sunshine', 'Sandstorm', 'I'm Coming Home', and 'Awesome God', among many others are included. As well as BJ Penn's walkout song 'E Ala E'. 

^ That's very cool, was hoping it would be more than just like 10 guys unique entrances...sounds like everyone has their song (or one they used in the past)

So pretty much they took the signature skills from Madden, NBA 2k and applied it to MMA. Some of the names are pretty comical.

There are no leg/body/head kick modifiers. R1/RB and L1/LB are both special strikes modiefiers, but with kicks it chooses for you based on range. Not sure how I like that..

It was similar to that in EA MMA...you held the same modifier button to head kick and leg kick, there was a body modifier though.

I really like the special abilities thing, but some of the titles to them make me laugh. Isn't Sinister Gates the name of one of the guitar players in Avenged Sevenfold? lol

BJ Penn beat Pettis.. and his facial expression is delightful. 

Both their facial expressions are priceless.
