I lean towards Pierce, because he relies more on his wrestling than stand up, but he's still decent standing and heavy handed... I think why Hendricks lost to Story is because He relied more on his striking than his wrestling and got out wrestled. This is a similar fight as that one and see Pierce pushing the pace for a grinded out Decision with more octagon control and TD's... Still a cointoss though, such a close fight.

Hendricks has some quick hands but Mike Pierce is tough. I still got Hendricks by TKO though.

I wasn't all that impressed with Hendricks when he fought TJ Grant or Ricardo Funch, while Pierce beat Fitch or at the very least deserved a draw. I'm picking Pierce to win a close split, but I do admit, the 3 losses he has on his record are to great wrestlers, being Fitch, Nathan Coy and Mark Munoz, and Hendricks is yet another fantastic wrestler so this should be an interesting test to see if he's up'ed his strategy against them.

Hendricks is the more accomplished amateur wrestler. They both have power and seem to have good chins. I really haven't gone on much to pick Pierce. I think he has more power than Story, who landed some hard shots on Hendricks in their fight. He also took some punches from Fitch. But this is as close to a 50/50 fight as they come. That's not to say it'll end in a close decision or anything like that. I think either fighter is capable of finishing the other if they land perfectly.
