Bout 5 - Ricardo Scrippe vs. Kleber Orgulho - Kleber starts agressively, and hits Scrippe with two big uppercuts, Scrippe is just defending... Kleber works the face and body with quick punches, Scrippe tries a couple of takedowns but is easily stuffed, and eats another huge uppercut... he's bleeding all over, the medic is called, but the fight goes on... Kleber continues to pick Scrippe apart and finally hits him with a perfect left, and Scrippe is out. this was a BIG beatdown... Luiz Dórea boxing, FTW!

De Almeida's takedowns generally result in him being in the inferior position.  Strange.

Bout 6 - Alexandre de Almeida vs. Fabiano Silva... both starts cautiously, Almeida has a huge reach advantage but doesn't want to use it, when he finally throws a kick, is caught and taken down by Silva, they scramble and end up in clinch again... the first two rounds were basically Almeida shooting for takedowns, getting stuffed and ending up in a bad position, although LOTS of reversions keep happening as neither of them was able to secure a position. Almeida even went for a few subs, but none was actually really dangerous close. in the third round, Almeida finally starts striking and is winning easily, then takes Silva down, mounts, but cant' get a sub...

29-28 Silva, imo. the judges see it 29-28, 29-28 and 28-29 in favour of Silva. really bad gameplan by Almeida... he was terrible tonight.

Bout 7- Championship Featherweight Bout - Edmilson Souza vs. Fabiano Nogueira - Nogueira starts out very agressive, trading punches with Souza and searching for the takedown, Souza defends well, and is in my opnion way more dangerous when strinking due to his big reach and heavy hands... but Nogueira surprises him with a right punch and drops Souza... then it's +2 minutes of ground n pounding and controling positions by Nogueira... in the last 30 secs, Souza finally manages to get up, they trade punches at the center of the cage, and Souza clips Nogueira with a HUGE left... Nogueira is out, flat faced on the canvas. NICE!

@Wish you assume right, heh

amazing hands by Souza, he's a very tall featherweight and with power in his hands too...

my main concern is if he's going to be able to keep being a featherweight, he had real issues trying to cut for this fight, and looked drained at the weight-ins.

congrats to the winners @Ronwah, @psychicdeath and @TheCloser17! (and a special mention to my teammate @MQuestionable. good job, dude!)

...and i'm out to the pub!

I was kind of impressed at Bilharinho... I think this guy could be something at 135!
