i dont think jessica is 135 ... her weight class looks like it should be 115

Any updates on the Cupgate scandal? 

Jessica usually walks around 112-115llbs

.....and she couldn't make weight? She weighed in at 112.6! Oh that's even worse.... Can't make weight for a few pounds. Tsk tsk. That's just nasty.

Hmm I train with Jenn and was coaching her and in her corner the night of the fight. From what I saw ( cageside) pretty much everytime it went to the ground Jenn ended up on top in the dominant position. First round went to Jessyca because of her boxing, second and third to Jenn for her ability to dominate on the ground. Even when Jessyca attemped the armbar jenn escaped and ended up in full mount, and controlled the fight with some ground and  pound until the final bell. Jenn had jessycas arm pinned and was striking her in the head if there had been more time in the round I believe the ref would have stopped the fight. As she could not escape or defend herself from her position.

Someone is full of ****. I just looked back at jessicas weight class for KOTC and our fight .... It says bantamweight 135 lbs. Jeeze if she walks around at 112-115 she will be in a lot of trouble going into that weight category. But hey, my eyes are not brown and full of ****. I can see clearly:). Anyway. Thanks guys for the awesome forum. But it's time for me to move along. Onto my next fight.... Yup yup. Let you all know when I know! Been a blast:) serious!

thats why I posted the Topp MMA play-by-play, an objective opinion, not from the corners as they are biased/subjective. I wish that more people who saw the fight who are not friends with the fighters would post here so we can great a good discussion going. The weights posted on the KOTC was not her weight and the weight posted on Tapology was actuall Cobbs weight (the one origanally to fight you). And please dont get us wrong, jennifer you fought a great fight (you both did) and you won by split decision (you deserve the credit); however, there are many seeing it differently and are entitled to their opinion just like your corner is, thats what this forum is about; I wish we could move away from the **** talk and focus on the awesome fight you gals brought to DC, which in my opinion, was one of the best fights that night. Im sure you wont deny Jessica a rematch, she is not 3 weight classes higher than you, she walks around 112-115 (sometimes even less), not 135, so there is no excuse. Besides, as amateurs, there is a 9 pound up or down rule where the fight can still happen. Jessica has made it clear that she will not let you off the hook next time, she will finish you, if your not scared, contact 5 Star for a rematch, Jessie has already. But im sure there  will be many excuses...

Here's to hoping for a re-match!

@gholland..... Umm u don't need to taunt me with "If I'm scared ********". Cut the crap. It was a good fight. Both our FIRST fight. I will do a rematch. For sure I will. But I have a carreer that holds up a lot of my time. I'm wanting to fight in September but I want a different apponent in-between. Of course if that doesn't happen cause there are no other girls, then it'll be sooner than later. As well, Jessica should look for someone else to fight too. What? We gonna fight each other 100 times? Don't worry GHolland, I'm not going anywhere:)

That's a pretty ignorant and stupid thing to say gunn4206!  All u have to do is google groin protector, then you'll maybe able to grasp the idea that they come in all different shapes and sizes for men and women.
Why u hating on someone who was just trying to protect themselves from injury? 

@tkd Was the fight unified rules?

http://www.mixedmartialartsbc.ca/docs/MMABC_Rules.pdf   u can find the rules in the link jaffa. Amateur mma rules for B.C states that both male and female competitors must wear groin protectors. 

Unified rules states they are prohibited but, Fight was sanctioned under MMABC amateur rules.

Interesting.. something I have never seen before.  Is there a reason why Jessica was not wearing one then if they "must" wear them?  Thanks for the info.

I do not know...?? I didn't pay any attention to if she was or not was busy concentrating on trying to coach Jenn and what was going on in the fight. Np for the info!
