Those front kicks just did it for me. I gave Machida the edge because the little jump that made it look like a crane kick.

I think I'm in agreement with BigJ. Haven't updated my list in a while, but the Machida front kick was definitely sweeter than Silva's. It had the crane kick stance, and Couture dropped like a pile of bricks.

@gregory, Machida's kick was way better. Silva's kick was amazing, but it didn't knock belfort out like the Machida kick knocked randy out. I think the reason people liked Silva's more is because he did it first.

@Gspisoverrated... I dont think its because he did it first but more because I thought Silvas looked a bit quicker and it was way more unexpected you know?

well its not like everyone watched machida vs couture and said i expect he'll attempt a flying crane kick soon......haha.

Another plus about the Silva/Belfort kick was that Belfort is truly an elite striker, which makes it all the more incredible in my opinion. Couture was getting picked apart the whole fight, the kick was just the nail in the coffin.
