Anyone play FIFA alot? World cup has me wanting to buy a FIFA game. I have a PS3 and from what I was reading it seems like FIFA 12 and FIFA14 seem to have the best reviews.
Can anyone make a suggestion?

More like PC peasant class. I'm an avid PC Gamer don't get me wrong, but the fact that games get released as buggy as hell by devs and gamers are expected to be the ones that not only fix it but put in extra content that got left out because of streamlining like in Fallout 4 or Skyrim is annoying.

The only real advantage to console play for me at least is that I hate playing multiplayer shooters with a mouse and keyboard, and you kind of have to on PC otherwise you will basically get merked.
If you don't like a game on steam, you have a two-hour return window. And you have the power to trash it in a review--and those reviews are meaningful and definitely affect the rate of purchase of said game.
I do agree with you, there's so many dev groups out there that release half-baked games that are basically broken, take the money and run it is unbelievable. Loot boxes should be made illegal everywhere, Germany has made this so and the rest of the world should follow.
That, and there's no console in existence that even comes close to be able to compete with my system, and I'm only running a 1070 i5 rig ( although I do have a good coffee lake processor). I don't play in 4k or anything.

The only thing about Steam I hate is the DRM, but since GOG has a limited library at the moment and that Steam has decided to not bow down to the PC Police, I still use their service (although I might have to get Origin for certain games that might come down the pike despite my disdain for EA).
And as for the lootboxes, I don't like the idea of the government stepping in. They are disgusting, but by allowing any government to regulate one aspect of the game industry, it gives them carte blanche to go down the road that will ultimately lead to red tape and possibly censorship. IMO, the best way to stop lootboxes, at least on the consumer end, is to not buy these games. As for the devs end of it, maybe lowering the budgets on games would help them produce more than one Triple A game every five years. That and, instead of pillaging the gamers for money, actually create something worth paying for like expansions a la what Obsidian did with New Vegas.
And speaking of rig specs, any suggestions for a graphics card update? I run an I7 4770 IIRC but still only use a GTX 770 and I want to finally upgrade to Windows 10 but my graphics card (and possibly my RAM even though I have 8 gigs) is holding me back.

A GTX 1060 will get you 1080p gaming at max settings on most games. You may experience some performance issues with extremely demanding games like witcher wild hunt on ultra. but even these won't be deal breaking. If you want to have no issues, you can step up to a 1070.
The 1060's are not desirable for mining, so their prices tend to stay reasonable. The 1070's and 1080's are, and they don't. It depends how much you want to spend.
Whichever way you go, I strongly recommend buying the Asus strix or dual models. Very reliable cards with very good cooling. And very reasonably priced. If you do happen to get any issues, ASUS is the best company out their for returns. Avoid MSI and Gigabyte cards, I see a lot of issues with them. Ditto the evga cards, so many people have had them cook on them.
You can get a 1060 dual new for around this much:

A 1060 strix for around this much:
https://www.ebay.com/itm/ASUS-Geforce-GTX-1060-STRIX-6GB-GAMING-889349469361/273335694883?epid=11011034721&hash=item3fa413b623:g:X8kAAOSwhWRazMlu
The 1070's run about double that.
If you aren't looking to spend 800 bucks or so on a brand new GPU, you could look for a used one. There's tonnes of used 1070's out there still under warranty, many are only a few months old and come with receipts, and as long as the seller includes benchmarks with the listings, it's a pretty safe bet that they will last as long as if you bought a new one anyway. Definitely the best performance value for your dollar.
Make sure what you buy hasn't been used for mining!
Also make sure your power supply can handle a bigger GPU. You would not want to try and run an I7 processor with a 1070 on anything less than 650 watts of power that is rated silver or above. You might get away with less, but you'll have your PSU working its tits off, and it will get hot, which will add heat to your rig and cause other problems. The ten series cards are very efficient, but still, don't push the envelope.
