Hieron with the use of the his experience, though I wouldn't be surprised if Hawn pulls out the victory. All I know is that this fight is going to the judges.

Neither of these guys deserve to be here, I thought both of them got BS decisions in the semis. But I'll go with Hieron just cause of the experience edge.

This one is tough to call.  If Heiron comes out like his last fight he won't win.  Judo will likely grind out a decision - if his striking is on he will likely win a decision against Judo.

I can see this going either way.  I'm going with Hawn now, but may change my mind later.  I just can't seem to get excited about this one.

Either way, this fights going to a decision. Should be pretty boring.

After the first couple of rounds I've been much more impressed with Rick Hawn than I have been with Jay Hieron.  I think it'll be a hard fought decision, but I'm leaning toward Hawn right now.

@Lynx I'm feeling the same way after the fights so far in this tournament...When I heard Heiron was in it I pretty much figured he'd be fighting Askren for the belt next season, but have changed my mind with Hawn

Hieron has quite a bit more experience against tougher competition but that isn't everything. Experience isn't the only factor in fights. Between the two fighter I think Hawn has performed better in this tournament than Hieron. Hieron will try to use his wrestling but Hawn's world class judo may be enough to keep Hieron at bay.

I'm picking Hieron as overall I think he is the better fighter. More experienced and one of the best welterwights not in the UFC. I'll also expect him to be a bit more aggressive as his last match with Brent Weedman left a bitter taste with most people watching it. Still Hawn is dangerous and up to the challenge so it's going to be close. But I see Hieron just about clinching it.
