Who would you like to see Griffin fight now? I would like it to be this man. They both came into the UFC on a high note. Let them go out on one.

I have no doubt Rogerio Nog would finish Forrest pretty easily.

There are rumors out that Bonnar is Chael's replacement for 155.

Although Forrest just turned 33 last July 1, I notice that no one is suggesting anyone too high up, despite that Forrest once held the LHW belt.  Boy, Forrest must be SO psychologically burned out!  Randy Couture once said he had to throw Forrest out of the gym, he was so obsessed with training.  Fond memories of days gone by!

Randy Couture lasted until he was 47.  Dan Severn lasted until he was 54, which was last April.  Of course, he was fighting no-name nobodys.

Interesting tidit.  Dan Severn was Forrest Griffin's very first MMA fight, on October 27, 2001.  Dan weighed 250!  It was his 58th fight, but Forrest's first!  Forrest lost by UD.

I also noticed that Forrest fought Chael Sonnen on September 6, 2003.  Forrest won by triangle choke submission.  This was before either was in the UFC.

@Bill... Jens Pulver once held the LW belt... maybe we should throw him up with the sharks. Obviously, I'm just pointing out that logic doesn't make sense here.  The lil Nog fight sounds cool w/ me.

The lil Nog fight sounds good but I think I would rather see Forrest vs Vera. I think it would be a very good fight and it's someone we haven't seen Forrest fight.

On a side note if Glover/Rampage doesn't happen I'd like to see Nog fight Rampage.

I never even thought of Vera! Brandon Vera vs Forrest Griffin would be awesome.

Idk if Vera deserves Forrest quite yet... It would be a cool fight though.  Vera has only won once in the last 3 years.

I'd love to see Bonnar step in, would be a good scrap to end both careers on. Or perhaps Tito 4!! I joke hombres :P If not Bonnar then perhaps Nog or Vera, would really like to see Nog back in the cage and Vera put a good show on against Shogun so perhaps could win against Griffin if he uses technical striking and dictates the pace. Failing that how about a rematch with Rampage? although tbh I much prefer Glover vs Rampage. Just my opinion, peace out hombres ;)

I think soszyinski would be a great scrap with forrest. He goes to war just like Bonnar and Forrest. Good match ups I didn't see mentioned would be Te Huna or welcoming Cavalacante to the UFC. Why not Belfort while he is heavy? A lot of good possibilities out there.

An opponent for Forrest to conclude his career at age 33?  Maybe Rich Franklin, Thiago Silva, Matyushenko.

@Bill, Forrest already fought Rich. No point for that happening. Besides, Rich is at MW.

How about Rashad for Forrest?

Remember how Rashad grabbed his junk during their first fight?  (I should know about this since I was there!).

That gives Forrest tons of bulletin-board material, as they say in the NFL - and speaking of the NFL, one of the best recent examples of bulletin-board material was involved the last time two of the teams who are playing this week - the Giants and Redskins - played each other: Last December, Giants safety Antrel Rolle said that the Giants would beat the Redskins "99 times out of 100" (the first time they played in 2011, the Redskins won, after the Giants had beaten them six in a row prior).  Well guess what?  The Redskins beat the Giants again - at the Meadowlands, as a pretty serious underdog, giving them two wins over the Giants in the last two!

There is definitely a lesson in there somewhere.
