I think that Silva wins the fight but finds it much harder to finish Bonnar than people think. Bonnar isn't in the upper echelon of the UFC as they call it, but he is definitely a warrior and finishing him is not an easy task. He will definitely be much bigger than Silva but even with that being said, Silva wins the fight regardless! I am looking forward to seeing it and I love Anderson Silva but I am pulling for Bonnar and think it would be amazing to see him win!

I feel the same way.. I want to go Bonnar so bad... but Silva will retire undefeated in the UFC.

A lot of people are hating on this matchup, but I couldn't disagree more. I love it, especially considering this is a short-notice fight. With under a month before the event, the best fighter of all time steps up to the plate against one of the fighters who we have to thanks for the sport exploding the way it has. Does Bonnar stand a realistic chance of winner? Hell no! But that doesn't mean that we don't have an exciting fight to watch this Saturday.

Anderson should have this easy. I will still watch because of the anything can happen factor. War Silva.

I actually think that a year ago this would've been a VERY hard fight for Silva, he'd have dominated it but I'm pretty sure he wouldn't have finished Bonnar.

I just think that this whole "asking for a big fight, not getting any interest, contemplating retirement" mindset that Bonnar's in these days could deflate his heart a bit, and that's more or less all he's had to offer throughout his career.

That being said, the "last chance for something bigger than the Forrest fight" could give him one last war mentality. I'm still going for the major letdown scenario ...

I guess we'll just have to wait and see :)

I think the opposite of what you said yossgold, Bonnar would be more of a danger to any opponent with the mindset he seems to be bringing to this fight.

Like I've said before, this is the longest time I've ever needed to make an MMA prediction and here it goes.

My heart tells me Silva, but my brain tells me Bonnar.

You could make the argument that Silva is the favorite, but that's pushing it. Bonnar will win, but it won't be by decision, triangle choke, flying scissor heel hook, or Silva DQing himself. Chael Sonnen set the blueprint on how to defeat Silva, which he almost did. Unlike Sonnen, Bonnar will flawlessly execute it.

Stephan Bonnar shocks the world with the Spinning Backfist Heard 'round the World.
