Since it's a slow day in the world of MMA, I thought it would be cool to talk about Tapology and ourselves.. anything at all regarding the same.  I'll get a brief start going..

I live in PA, am 30 and have been a fan of MMA since I was a teenager.  Work for the railroad and rarely ever miss an event regardless of promotion/stature.  I like Tapology b/c of the environment it fosters.  I wish we could edit/delete our posts... maybe have categories of threads for the forums, but all in all, I appreciate the type of place this is thus far.

Poll

I didn't want to make an entire new thread for this, but I do think this is an interesting question: Do you think if Fedor and Josh Barnett fought when they were originally scheduled to fight in Affliction, Barnett could or would have been the first man to cleanly defeat Fedor?  I think it's interesting to think about considering how their careers have played out since.

I think Fedor would've beat against Barnett. Affliction was the start of Fedor's downfall but he was and still is a fantastic grappler with ferocious ground n' pound. Fedor's decline was really with his striking more than anything.

Yeah Fedor's biggest decline was that he turned from a technical power puncher into a straight brawler. I think he wouldve beat Barnett and still would

Zero % chance is quite low @Kalibo, it's Fedor we're talking about.

I think it might be 35 to 65 % in favor for Barnett right now in Affliction Fedor would have been the favorite for sure...

Fedor chance of beating Barnett back in Affliction was 90%. The chance Fedor as of beating Barnett now is 90%.

Yes, arrogance.  No reason to call my opinion stupid just b/c you disagree and yours is just oh so much better than mine, it happens to be "fact".  Arrogance.  I have my opinion and I stand by it.  I've been watching Fedor since the beginning of his career and it is my opinion that if he fought Barnett right now, he would lose, w/out a doubt.  Five years ago?... That's another story.

Fedor was at one time one of the greatest fighters of all time... at one time.  I hold him and his career in high regard as a whole.

Youre like Dana White bashing fighters  that don't fight for him. Barnett would have nothing for Fedor. Nothing. Tell me, just tell me what you think Barnett could do to Fedor............. Please refine from comparing Barnetts and Werdums ground game..... just please show some dignity and grace.
