I wouldn't say that Overeem could take a punch better than Cain, for a couple reasons, one Cain was only KO'ed once while Overeem has been knocked out plenty of times, albiet it was as mini-reem but the fact remains he has been knocked out before and JDS has some of the hardest hands in MMA, there are not many people who could take a picture perfect punch from him.
Two you can't really say because Overeem has not been in there with JDS, in punching power of course.

I am the furthest thing from a Cain fan,But falling victim to JDS' fists is nothing to be ashamed of.

Dos Santos is the man, he wins this via nice guy attitude and karma points alone. If that's not enough, he still has his hands and Cain will still have his questionable chin.

I think this is going to be just like their first fight, except Cain will be more tentative when striking and survive the first, but get clipped on the way in for a takedown in RD 2.

Sorry if someone alreayd said this but, cain had a blown out knee in there first fight that is why he never committed for a take down. Just thought people should know because it seemed like many just thought he made a stupid assumption he was a better striker and foolishly stood with dos. When in reality he just did not have a choice due to a injury.

@Franklin I don't recall Cain's chin being tested before the Kongo fight. Neither after that, Brock was swinging wild and missed most shots, JDS hit him on the temple and both Rothewell and Big Nog were overwhelmed.

Are you 100% sure Cain's chin is legit ?

I mean how can you say it's NOT questionable ?

Think about what questionable means and then please agree with me.

Also, JDS blew his knee out as well.

injured JDS > injured Cain
healthy JDS > healthy Cain

JDS amazing takedown defense was and will be the problem for Cain !

So Cain got KO'd last time because he was hurt............What will be the reason this time when JDS puts him to sleep again?

For the most part, the history of the UFC is a long review of grapplers beating strikers.  There have been some strikers who have been able to hold off the grapplers and keep them at bay, but not many.  Liddell, Dos Santos come to mind.

Whether or not Grappler Velasquez can get Striker Dos Santos to the ground is the key question.

If Cain shoots in, everyone is betting that Junior can nail him on the way in, or that Junior can escape back to his feet where he has his only chances.  Time will tell.

Junior's striking is good.  It is technical and precise.  He often hits what he aims for.  But his survival depends on his hitting it EVERY time.  His power is not that of George Foreman, Sonny Liston, Kimbo Slice or Mike Tyson.

His striking success hinges on his accuracy, not his power.  Cain can miss with a shoot and not lose automatically.  Junior cannot miss or his chances go down dramatically.

Still am confused by all the Cain dislike.  Not expected for someone who doesn't trash talk.  Cain is legal.

Kimbo Slice on that list?

Also, i think the strikers are in a good moment right now. everybody is learning TDD and using angles to never be caught off guard by a wrestler. i think the wreslte-boxer style is in a downward trend.

Slice made his pro boxing debut on August 13, 2011. Slice fought in a four-round headlining attraction against 39-year-old James Wade (0-1) at the Buffalo Run Casino in Miami, Oklahoma.  He won the fight via KO at 0:10 in the first round.

On October 15, Kimbo returned to the boxing ring, defeating Tay Bledsoe via KO in the first round.  On December 30, Kimbo defeated Charles Hackmann by UD, winning three out of four rounds.

Slice's next fight will be in Australia on the Anthony Mundine vs Daniel Geale undercard on January 30, 2013.

To those who ridicule Kimbo Slice having amazing power, how do you account for his success as a boxer?

Do you really think that Junior Dos Santos could make it as a boxer?  He could not.
