@sonnench - It's not "catch weight" it's a "grudge weight." I'll fight him at a GRUDGE WEIGHT OF 200lbs. I don't care about him enough to cut to 185.
Is he talking about Wanderlei? or Rashad?

He has no beef with Rashad, they've worked together fine; its gotta be Wandy.

I would love to see the Rashad fight
but not interested in seeing Wand get demolished :(

Why would he mention Rashad and bring up cutting to 185? Rashad doesn't fight at 185 so really it's Wand or maybe Franklin...

Ah... good choice @p4p... he has had beef w/ Rich for years... you may be correct there.

omg Rashad Evans vs. Chael Sonne would be amazing. And it makes so much sense for both of them right now. Spectacular #1 contenders recently vanguished by respective champions.

A win vs Wandi wouldn't exactly propel Sonnen's career. He's already had 2 title shots, I don't quite understand what all the hype is about this guy. He barely skipped past Bisping, I don't think he could get past Rashad, I really don't. If he can't accomplish that, how is he supposed to beat Jon Jones?

You know, I'm kinda surprised that nobody's mentioned Lyoto Machida in all this.  I know he has a title fight coming up, but he was walking around at 200-205 lbs range.  He's Anderson Silva's friend, so that could definitely qualify as a "Grudgeweight" for Sonnen.

Of course, Sonnen's probably just trolling us as usual, but I'm thinking he was talking about Machida here...

Why on earth would Machida dismiss an already given title shot against the current MMA phenomenon and drop down in weight to fight a thrash-talkin' clown who's coming off a loss?
It makes the same sense as Anderson fighting Diaz just because he called him out.

@Blitz

Um.....dude, I was talking about who Sonnen was possibly calling out, not who he's gonna fight next, lmao... although I probably should have worded that post a little differently.

Of course Machida would never take that fight.  I'm just saying that yeah Machida has his title shot, but Chael being Chael would call him out for a "grudge" match anyway since that'd be about the only way for him to get back at Anderson Silva at this point.

Yeah, he has kind of dogged on Franklin by saying that Silva was a fraud for beating up on math teachers. Wonder what that stems from, he's usually kind worded about White Americans.
