Nelson vs. Herman

Given the fact that Herman had such a terrible performance against Struve, and Nelson is 1-3 in his last 4, I think this is a career match for both these guys. Im a huge Herman fan, and I expect him to win this.

You "expect" him to? MMA-thematics say Roy Nelson's gonna kill Dave Herman and actual fight footage says that as well. How can Herman win this fight...anywhere?

Herman actually delivers more strikes and is more accurate than Nelson. Plus Herman will have a big height and reach advantage - add kicks to that and good movement. I might actually pick Herman.

Where does Nelson win, Anik? Nelson looks awful against Top 10.. just because Nelson has a tough chin and big power doesnt mean he is going to win this fight. Herman is a much more technical fighter.

Hermans Striking defense and cardio deteriorate outside the 1st round. Him taking this on late notice doesn't help the fact and I know he couldn't have improved his cardio. This is a must win for Nelson and Herman just does not take his fights seriously. The 2 biggest factors in this fight I believe are...

1. Chin strength
2. Cardio

@Niklust You say he's technical, but he's not gonna be able to run around the ring on the outside and jab and leg kick his way to a decision, It's not gonna happen. Watch any of Hermans fights, they do not go that way and when he goes out there he certainly does not fight with a gameplan.

One thing Herman does in all his fights... He takes damage to try and give it back... It worked against Einemo (by a very thin margin), and He tried to do it against Struve, It ended up terrible and he looked not so good. He is not going to change! We can all agree that in Hermans last two fights his striking defense looked terrible... Not saying that Nelsons is either, but he's fighting opponents 10 levels higher than Herman.

Another battle of hard hitting heavyweights. But seeing Nelson have the kind of power he does, I'm gonna say a shocking 2nd round KO.

Going with Nelson due to Hermans Lackluster past two fights...

In an FOTN candidate, Nelson and Herman brawl it out until Nelson capitalizes on the ground game.

I think "Big Country" lucked out with all the match swapping that's happened. I love the guy, but he'll never be a Heavyweight contender. He seriously need to drop a weight class or even two, (which he will never do). Still, Dave Herman's a good match for him and I think he gets the KO victory to keep his UFC career alive and well

So you landed with Pee Wee KOing one of the hardest guys to knockout in all of MMA? How high were you when you finalized that pick?

Herman showed at weigh ins why many of us think roy should be at 205, but roy is a trooper and i think he can pull it off tonight!

I really want to take Herman, but at the end of the day I am just too big of a chicken**** to take the jump.

Herman difinitely has the height and reach advantage but Big Country will work his clinch and takedowns and if he doesn't
finish him, he will definitely win via the judges.

Is it just me or did Big country look really solid at yesterday's weigh-ins?
