"Little Wanderlei" and a weekend of new champions

If there's one thing you didn't want to be going into the weekend, it was an MMA titleholder. It seems like ever since Edgar was de-throned, the MMA world has been turned upside down. But this weekend was nothing less than historic.

The new champion list:

-Bellator BW World Title-

• Eduardo Dantas def. Zach Makovsky   via Submission (ATC) @ 3:26 Round 2

Dudu put an end to Makovsky's reign in dramatic fashion to become the youngest current MMA world champion.

-Midwest Cage Championships LHW Title-

-Impact FC MW Title-

• Dane Sayers   def.   Chris Hugh   via KO/TKO (Body Kick) @ 0:41 Round 4

Score one for Shawn Tompkins! Ronson has really impressed me lately.

-Cage Fury Fighting Championship WW Title-

• Jadyson "Little Wanderlei" Costa   def.   Dallas Jakobi   via KO/TKO @ 0:39 Round 4

With a record of 8-12, "Little Wanderlei" is now a WW champion!

Only 1 decision and, most impressively, three 4th round finishes. I had to track down an event that wasn't on my radar--and one that had 3 title fights--just to find a successful title defense this weekend (Cage Fury 14). Apparently AFO held 12 title fights on Friday night (not sure how that works). But I clicked on the main event winner and his new record is 1-1 so I decided to stop there.

Anybody know if LFC 52 (Duke vs Baughman) went down?

Seriously, thanks for the welcome everyone. I was expecting (based on experience) to be picked apart and ridiculed on minor details. Actually, I almost didn't make the post because I heard a rumor that Lopez had successfully defended at KOTC. But I'd also seen the event rescheduled for April 28th so I figured what the hell.

Anyway, one question. I had my post formatted real pretty but when I submitted it the formatting completely disappeared (?)

Well to be honnest, at first I was pretty upset...you forgot that River Jones won the AM Ford Fight Night vacant amateur female bantamweight title against Jade DeHaas...

Also, there are too many "Mini-Wanderlei's and "Little Wanderlei"s these days. Karl Ammoussou and Jorge Lopez need to duke it out to decide who gets to be dubbed "the new Wanderlei" and everyone else can stop soiling his name with 8-12 records. In my humble opinion.
