After seing the compu-strike results (http://www.mmamania.com/2012/2/26/2825314/ufc-144-results-frankie-edgar-vs-ben-henderson-fight-metric-report), and re-watching the fight I am now 100% sure that Henderson won that fight. Edgar got hiss A$$ kicked. He had alot of those breif takedowns but thats just not enough in my book. He needed to do some work from the top, try a submission or something. I would like to see Frankie drop down a weight class, although i can see why he wouldnt want to. Who in there right mind would want to fight Aldo?

I actually scored the fight for Frankie.  It was really close.  I gave him the 1st, 2nd and 5th rounds, and gave Henderson the 3rd and 4th....   compu-strike doesn't lie so I'm going to rewatch this fight.

Well if there's one thing we know about Frankie, it's that he always has to fight the same guy twice before we know who is better.

Let's just put this to bed. WHY would anyone want to fight someone 20lbs heavier when they can be even more dominant fighting at a lower weight class?? I personally think Frankie is a beast. If there is anyone out there right now that even has a shot at dethroning Aldo, in my opinion it's Frankie. Smooth DEFINITELY won that fight and anyone that thinks otherwise is smoking rocks. I'd much rather see Smooth rematch Pettis or fight the winner of Diaz/Miller. There is WAY too much competition in the 155lb division to slow things down with all these rematches. I mean, think about it. There have been 4 title fights at 155lbs in the last two years, but he only fought two people.

When title fights are decided by a razor thin decision and the mma world is split on who won then a rematch is in order. There's nothing wrong with that. The title shot should go to the most deserving fighter regardless of whether it's a rematch or not. One thing I know is Frankie is much more deserving then Pettis.

100% agree with Fowlkes here. 155 is the most talent rich division in MMA. It would take at least 6 months before we would see this rematch if it were to happen. So let's say Edgar does win the rematch. That would mean that in 3 years and 6 fights, only 3 people have fought for the strap at 55. BORING!!! There is so much good competition in this division that we're not going to see because we have to wait for these rematches. How is that fair to everyone else in the division??

So Frankie's fights with BJ, Maynard and now Henderson were boring? You want the 2 best guys in the world fighting for the belt. How anyone could possibly justify that Pettis is better then Frankie lol that made me laugh just thinking about it.

I've said it since the fight was over. This should depend on medical suspensions. Ben and Pettis are both ready to fight again. Hell, they could fight next week. Thing is, if you put in May, then you can see if Jim beat Nate. If Jim and Ben win, then do the Edgar rematch in July, because the Jim rematch is way too early after Ben roflstomped Jim. Ben/Pettis in May, but because of Edgar's probably lengthy medical suspension, if you can't talk Edgar down to 145, then give him the opportunity to fight for the title. I don't know. Nate/Jim winner is the only other one that really has a claim to the title shot right now.

i scored the fight for edgar, as did a lot of other people, dfw included.

while the fighmetric data doesn't lie, in this case it also doesn't tell you who the winner is.  it's simply neutral data to be interpreted by either camp.  for instance, it shows frankie landing more power shots to the head, and winning on takedowns 5 to 1.  it also doesn't show the number of times frankie used catching benson's leg to drive him backwards and maintain octagon control.  i don't think the fact that benson took the center of the octagon shows that he had octagon control, and in fact, i give that to frankie based on his combination of evasive movement, repeated takedowns, and catching the leg kicks to drive benson back.

frankie was of course the more damaged fighter by fight's end, but that's only one factor to consider.  there are lots of other cases where the more damaged fighter won; a good example is gsp vs. bj penn 1, where gsp used activity and (largely ineffective) takedowns to squeak out a decision despite being a bloody mess.  i saw this one the same way, though of course there were differences between the two fights.

personally, i would like to see a rematch before pettis gets his shot, but that's looking fairly unlikely at the moment.

I scored the fight 49-46 for Henderson. I think if you're a diehard Edgar fan, the best you could score that card would be 48-47. It was definitely a close fight, and had Edgar not gotten up kicked that second round, the rest of the fight might have gone differently.

Also I think if Edgar would get an immediate rematch against Henderson, he would lose again, but even more decisively. Every fight we've seen Bendo in, he's been improving a lot, whereas, Edgar has been tapering off in terms of his skills. I mean he is almost 31 now. I think that Edgar could beat the winner of Miller vs Diaz though

Tough call. I think Bendo got it, but it was definately close. I don't know if there will be a rematch or if the UFC is going to be eager to get Showtime in there? Good fight though.

I personally saw it for Ben the entire time. I think even the first round could have been given to Bendo.  However after viewing the stats, I would say Edgar won the first, but I gave the next 4 rounds to Bendo. I think Frankie was deceiving, because of his movement. I think Franklin was right about his statements after the fight that the way he moves made him seem more busy then he was.  Also think that after looking at the stats, I don't really see how it can be argued for Frankie. Only arguement people really could have is that frankie landed more........but he dident. Now that it a fact he dident. I find it hard to believe people can still argue it for frankie. However I do understand how people could see it for frankie during the fight. Since I had like 4 or five people who at the time of the fight disagreed with my scoring and all thought frankie won.

I'm not a big fan of either guy, but I had Edgar winning. For reasons I've argued and already explained, but Frankie definitely should get the Rematch no doubt...but like Yaspaa said, it's about money and with the Showtime Kick in the first fight, they're trying to push the Pettis/Bendo rematch.
