Wiki

Nobuhiko Takada Wiki

Nobuhiko Takada is a famous Japanese professional wrestler who began his career in New Japan Pro Wrestling before leaving that promotion in 1988 to form the UWFI. In 1995-1996, Takada was involved in the biggest money-making series in Japanese Pro Wrestling history, when three matches drew 64,000 plus fans and live gates well above $5,000,000.

Following his wrestling career, Takada transitioned to professional MMA competition, fighting Rickson Gracie in the main event of the first-ever Pride Fighting Championships. While Takada holds three wins on his professional record, one of which came over former UFC champion Mark Coleman, the validity of those wins has been called into question. Some believe they were fixed fights used to boost Takada’s popularity. Takada ended his professional fighting career on a streak that saw him gain two draws and four losses.
