The finals of the bantamweight tournament and two title matches went down early this morning at the Dream Fight for Japan GP Finals from Ariake Coliseum in Tokyo, Japan.

Hiroyuki Takaya fended off a stiff challenge from Kazuyuki Miyata to take a split decision win and retained his Featherweight title at Dream: Fight for Japan. Takaya showed excellent take down defense and good striking to get the nod on 2/3 of the judges' cards. Takaya bounces back with the win from his April loss to Roberto Peralta in his Strikeforce debut.

Dream "Fight for Japan: 2011 Japan Bantamweight Grand Prix Final" is all set to go down a little later this evening (Friday evening into Saturday morning) live from the Ariake Coliseum in Tokyo, Japan.
