Gene Ahlstrom is a Mixed Martial Arts fighter who made his regional debut in 2009. After a number of unsanctioned fights, Gene began his amateur journey in an event promoted and hosted by UFC up and coming Mike Russow, in Kankakee Illinois. For Kaos in Kankakee 7 against heavyweight Rick Willison. Gene won in the first round by way of KO/TKO seconds before the end of the round. He then appeared in the very next event fighting for Mike Russow in Kaos in Kankakee 8 in which Gene dropped down to the 185lb weight class to take on newcomer Bill Ward. Ward won this fight in the first round by way of guillotine choke and Ahlstrom tapped. Ahlstrom was thereafter sidelined indefinitely with an array of injuries. Most of which nerve damage in neck and upper back.
