Stephen Hayes, was born in Lafayette LA, raised by two parents who became severely disabled before he entered high school. He started boxing at the age of 13 and competed in amature boxing as a young man. Once he began high school he was kicked out his freshman year. He dropped out shortly after that and was in and out of trouble until age 20 where he moved away to Mississippi to get himself and his life together. At age 23 he decided to go back to training where he then began at Alan Belcher MMA Club. After getting married and having a child he realized that he wanted to become a martial artist for a living. He was working as an energy drink salesman, where he drove a truck and sold beverages for 60+ hours a week. He then decided to move back to his hometown to chase his dream of becoming an mma fighter. Now 25 years old and happily married with a 2 year old son Stephen is set to make his MMA Debut on March 21st in his home state of Louisiana.
