The HW fight was supposed to be the title eliminator and the winner facing the current FFC HW Champion, Dion Staring. Both fighters attended weigh ins and the press conference in Athens, however on the next day (fight day) for as of yet unknown reasons, the Bulgarian Zahariev was detained by the police and the fight was cancelled.
