This page contains the rules and conditions for Tapology's "UFC Spring 2013" contest.
To enter the contest, just register on Tapology.com at https://www.tapology.com/signup using a valid e-mail verified with Tapology. Then enter your fight predictions for each of the scheduled fights for "UFC Spring 2013" using Tapology's online prediction builder. Enter a winner, a method of victory (either KO/TKO, Submission, or Decision) and a round of victory for each bout. Points are awarded based on correct predictions. The eligible contestant with the highest aggregate point total for all of the included bouts wins a Grand Prize $500 dollar cash prize. See below for additional restrictions and details.
The "UFC Spring 2013" contest is open only to eligible contestants who have registered on www.tapology.com with a valid e-mail address *and verified the e-mail address* on-site. All contest entries must be placed and received using Tapology's online prediction builder web page, accessible by logging in to Tapology as a registered user at https://www.tapology.com and clicking on the 'Enter Prediction' or 'Edit' links to begin. No contest entries via e-mail, write-in or other means will be accepted or considered.
To participate in the "UFC Spring 2013" contest, enter Tapology's online prediction builder web page for the appropriate event(s) and predict a winner, a method of victory (either KO/TKO, Submission or Decision) and a round of victory for each of the scheduled bouts. Predictions are entered and processed by pressing 'Save' on the prediction builder web page. The contest winner will be selected based on the highest aggregate event point total based on the following available point schedule:

The official deadline for entry is 7:01 PM Eastern Time, June 15, 2013. The deadline may be extended as additional bouts are added. All predictions must be *completed and saved* prior to the deadline in order to be considered.
The following MMA events are included in the contest:
The "UFC Spring 2013" bout cards are subject to scheduling changes and modifications without notice and beyond the control of Tapology. Additionaly, the list of events included within the contest may be altered or amended based upon scheduling updates made by MMA event promoters. Tapology's contest shall be judged solely based upon the official results of the fights that actually occur on each included event's fight night. Tapology undertakes no responsibility to notify contestants of alterations to the included events or event bout cards which may render portions of contest entries obsolete. Contestants are free to modify contest entries using Tapology's prediction builder as many times as desired prior to the contest deadline, and are advised to keep abreast of any late-breaking scheduling changes which may impact earlier contest entries or require additional contest predictions to be made.
Entries are limited to one per person. All contestants must be natural persons of age 18 or older.
The contest prizes consist of a single winner-take-all Grand Prize of U.S. $500. No additional prizes will be offered or awarded.
In the event that two or more eligible contestants reach a tie for the Grand Prize, the Grand Prize winner will be determined according to the following tie-breaking system: the contestant with the highest number of total correct fight winner predictions across all events in the contest will be declared the winner. In the event of a remaining tie, the contestant with the highest single-event point total for the last event to take place by calendar date will be declared the winner. In the event of a remaining tie, the contestant with the highest single-event point total for the second-to-last event to take place by calendar date will be declared the winner. In the event of a remaining tie, single-event point totals will continue being matched head-to-head for each remaining card, in order of latest calendar date to oldest, until a contest winner is determined. In the event of a remaining tie, the Grand Prize will be split equally among each remaining winner.
Announcement of an official contest winner is based upon the official bout results by the overseeing state athletic commissions following the conclusion of the event(s), and may be dependent upon several factors beyond Tapology's control, including but not limited to delay in the determination of one or more fight winners, alteration of any post-fight announcements or results by the event's overseeing athletic commission due to rules infractions, post-fight drug tests, resolution of disputed fight results or appeals following the event, and similar factors. Tapology.com may, in its sole and absolute discretion, elect to announce an official contest winner based upon the latest publicly avaialable event result information, so long as at least 24 hours have elapsed subsequent to the completion of all events in the contest. Any announcements by Tapology of an unofficial or provisional contest winner shall be without effect.
The official contest winner will be contacted by Tapology using the e-mail address entered and verified at registration to arrange the manner and delivery of the award. A contest winner who cannot be reached via his or her registered e-mail address within 30 days after notification of a winning entry may be deemed to have forfeited the award. The award is not transferable. Contestants cannot alter the manner and timing of the award. Tapology reserves the right to substitute a cash equivalent prize of equal or greater value to the Grand Prize winner at any time prior to or following the conclusion of the contest, without prior notice to contestants.
If you have entered contest predictions using Tapology's online tools and are not eligible to participate or do not wish to participate in the contest for any reason, e-mail Tapology at help@tapology.com to notify us of your decision to opt out of the contest. Any such entries will not be considered.
Odds of winning are dependent upon the number and skill levels of contestants and cannot be ascertained in advance.
Contest entry constitutes permission to use the winning contestant's name, site profile picture, profile information, city, state and country of residence for purpose of trade, publicity or promotion for no additional compensation except where prohibited by law.
By participating, contestants agree to hold harmless Tapology and its members, agents, employees, affiliates and partners from any liability whatsoever from loss, damage, harm, injury, cost or expense which may occur in connection with the contest, or for any claims based on publicity rights, defamation, invasion of privacy or prize delivery. Tapology is not responsible if the contest cannot take place due to any unforeseen circumstances, Act of God, event cancellation or postponement, or any technical, site, bandwidth or traffic limitations or malfunctions which may prevent one or more contest entries from being entered or considered.
Any attempt to undermine, manipulate or alter the nature or results of the contest or to damage Tapology's website or other property may be a violation of criminal and civil laws, and Tapology reserves the right to seek damages from any such person to the fullest extent of the law.
