Hacran Dias Wiki

Hacran Dias is a Brazilian featherweight fighter currently signed to the UFC. He is a jiu jitsu practitioner who trains out of Nova Uniao. He is a veteran of Shooto Brazil, Pancrase, M-1 Challenge, and the UFC. Of his twenty one wins, twelve have been finishes with nine submissions. He has never been finished.

Dias began his career fighting almost exclusively in Brazil. In his first six years as a professional, he was able to amass a 20-1-1 record as well as a title in Shooto Brazil. He then tried to audition for the first season of The Ultimate Fighter: Brazil, but was subsequently signed straight to the UFC with a three fight contract rather than participate in the show.

He made his debut for the promotion in Brazil against Iuri Alcantara and was able to secure a unanimous decision. He was riding a nine fight win streak going in to his next fight with Nik Lentz. The powerful american wrestler was able to  dominate much of the fight and Hacran would lose a unanimous decision. This was his first loss in nearly four years.

Dias was set to fight Rodrigo Damm at UFC Fight Night 29 but his opponent pulled out four days before the fight due to kidney problems. He was supposed to fight Tatsuya Kawajiri at UFC Fight Night 34, but was forced off the card with a hand injury.

Dias is now set to face former featherweight number one contender Ricardo Lamas at UFN 44 in San Antonio, TX.
