-Great all around fighter. Solid stand up, but even better wrestling and submission work. No serious weaknesses, though probably not quite as comfortable standing.
-He dominated Dan Hooker in November 2021. Took him down easy and could not be stopped on the ground. I wonder how he would fair against any elite guy that can keep the fight standing, but hes solid enough on the feet, and seems unstoppable on the ground.
-vs. Bobby, he once again showed how elite his wrestling and ground work are. Stand up didn't look bad before that either. Elite title contender.
-Incredible performance vs. Oliveira. He beat him standing, and looked crisp there, then the wrestling is great, and he can enter the BJJ danger zone and not be afraid. One of the pound for pound best.
-vs. Volk, he showed how high level his stand up really is, as he did pretty well vs. him. His grappling and takedowns are good, but Volk showed that he isn't quite as dominant there as some might have believed.
-Took out Volk standing. The size difference and short notice probably helped, but it is tough to doubt he is the current best at this point.

- Justin Gaethje

Warrior. Elite chin, very technical stand up fighter. Doesn't really seem to have a lot of ammo when his opponent is on the ground, and I didn't really see his takedown defense tested, but he might be the best in the division standing.
-Same as before. Stand up looks great, but he can get tagged, and just doesn't have the ground game needed to compete with a couple of the best.
-vs. Fiziev, he showed he might be the best pure stand up fighter in the division. Doesn't have the speed, but the technical ability is through the roof, and some power. Did serious damage.
-Beat Poirier. I think his stand up still might be the best in the division. I feel like he is better than he was fighting Oliveira.
-
3
- Charles Oliveira
- "do Bronx"

The champ. Oliveira is very well rounded. Has nice stand up, and some power, but his BJJ is probably the best in the division and maybe in the UFC. He is deadly if he gets your back, or even in guard. Submitted a very good BJJ guy in Poirier, and Poirier was terrified of his BJJ the whole fight. He can definitely get tagged, and has been in a lot of his big fights, but he has a chin and is unstoppable once he gets where he wants to be.
-vs. Gaethje he had another excellent fight. Once again, can get tagged, but people are scared to pursue him to the ground to try and finish him. Honestly I think he falls on purpose when he gets hit at lot to recover or get the fight where he wants it. And the BJJ is just unreal. He is the PFF best right now imo.
-His holes became more obvious vs. Makhchev. If someone isn't afraid of his guard, they can tag him and follow him there so he doesn't get rest. Wrestlers with good BJJ are a weakness, and I've seen him get tagged standing in every fight. But still very dangerous and talented.
-Incredible performance vs. Dariush. He was a little too willing to be on the bottom, but his power standing is nuts, and he has a good collection of strikes there, some nice head kicks in particular. He seems like the clear #2 right now.

- Arman Tsarukyan

Wrestling background, but his striking was focused and relentless, lots of power. Only lost to Islam so far, very elite prospect.
vs. Alvarez he showed how elite his wrestling, grappling, and GNP are. Dude is a beast.
-Had a very high level fight vs. Gamrot. I had him winning. His wrestling and grappling remain top tier. Gamrot was a touch better there, but Gamrot couldn't really do any damage with it. Arman's stand up is quite high level, though looked a little less elite vs another very good foe. His chin, and his kicks in particular were great. This guy is a beast.
-A dominant performance vs. Damir. His wrestling and Cardio are truly next level. The stand up remains good enough. Boxing is decent, and I love his kicks. His only real loss in the UFC was to Islam in my eyes.
-Won vs. Joaquim Silva. Had some issues, but showed he still has an elite skillset. Got rocked standing once, but I still maintain he is one of the best in the division.
-Took out Dariush with his stand up in a minute. I've thought he was the real deal for a while.
-
5
- Rafael Fiziev
- "Ataman"
- 12-3-0
-
Very impressive stand up fighter. Killer kicks, powerful stand up. Cardio was not great but he's an excellent prospect
-Picked up a great win vs. Brad Riddell, great combos, and an amazing spinning kick to end it. I'd say he was winning the fight before that barely. Seems wild that he isn't ranked higher, but this division is so good.
-Beat RDA. His takedown defense is definitely legit. Stand up is still really good, but he still is surprisingly not absolutely blowing some of these guys away.
-Honestly looked the best I've seen vs. Gaethje most of the way, but just got outclassed a bit as the fight went on. He is definitely an athlete, incredible hand speed, and his takedown D is very good.
-Looked good early vs. Gamrot. The takedown D held up well, but then he tore his ACL. He is starting to look top tier, and hopefully he heals up well.

- Dustin Poirier
- "The Diamond"
- 30-8-0, 1 NC

Great at everything. Good size for the division. Excellent on the ground, strikes from the ground, good defense on the ground, but solid striking with Conor Mcgregor too.
-Showed against Oliveira how good his stand up is. He doesn't kick much, but his boxing is crazy accurate and he has power. He just doesn't have the BJJ of Oliveira, even though he is very good at it.
-Another great stand up performance vs. Chandler. I am worried about his level of wrestling, as Chandler got him down several times, but his BJJ was pretty good and he submitted him. Chandler did tag him a few times, but he tags most guys.
-Lost vs. Gaethje. Still high level standing, but seems a touch short of the best at this point.
-
7
- Usman Nurmagomedov
- 17-0-0, 1 NC
-
He missed weight by a lot, so not sure how long he will stay at this weight. Great wrestling and grappling, locked in a submission with ease. But I think he faced a pretty bad opponent so tough to say just how good he is.
-Looked OK standing. Some OK kicks. But after a takedown, he immediately finished Chris Gonzales. Still haven't seen him fight anyone great, but he clearly has tons of talent.
-Beat Patricky Pitbull pretty bad. Decent kicks but he just isn't that explosive standing. People are so afraid of the takedown that his kicks are better for it. Does have pretty good wrestling and grappling, but I still question if hes actually upper echelon for all of MMA.
-Landed a nice kick that hit Ben Henderson, and then he showed his elite grappling. Great skillset. Really just wish I have seen him fight better fighters than what Bellator has to truly judge him, but he is defintiely very good.
-

- Michael Chandler
- "Iron"
- 23-8-0
-
A warrior. Incredible chin, which allows him to brawl and deal serious damage. I think he has some wreslting ability, but he just loves to stand and trade. Might get beat by the more polished guys who also have chins, but hes very good and fun to watch.
-He actually had some tough moments boxing vs. Ferguson. But he recovered with a nice takedown and GNP. Then he won with a sick front kick, Very good, but definitely has holes. His insane chin helps a bit with those holes.
-Lost to Poirier. Looked awesome standing early, but he gets so wild. He has tagged pretty much everyone I have seen him fight, but then he gets wild. He has pretty damn strong wrestling. I think he lost some cardio as it went. He is very skilled, but also very beatable.

- Dan Hooker
- "The Hangman"
- 23-12-0
-
Looked excellent back at lightweight, great sub defense and takedown defense, and then crisp stand up. He has a lot of losses to top shelf guys, but he can still handle lesser foes easily.
-Great fight vs. Jalin Turner. Somehow won after looking like he was probably in trouble in round 2. He has a lot of dawg in him, great stand up skill, very skilled fighter.
-
10
- Jalin Turner
- "The Tarantula"

Very long for this division, great stand up fighter with power. Showed decent takedown defense but he did eventually get taken down by Mullarkey. Next round he landed more shots and took him out though. He did also take some big ones throughout. Definitely a great prospect.
-Wow. Beast of a performance vs. Brad Riddell. He is 6'3, one of the tallest lightweights. He landed on Riddell early, then immediately locked in a guillotine. Excellent performance.
-Lost vs. Gamrot but I had him winning. His stand up looked great with his length and power. His takedown D and get up game were not bad, but he did have some issues vs. an elite wrestler in Gamrot. I still really like his promise, especially for his age.
-Great fight vs. Hooker. Had a headkick that easily could have ended it. He got a bit tired though, this weight class is probably tough for him with his size, though it also offers him advantages. Has all the skills, just not quite able to put it all together yet. Still 28, so I bet he still improves.
-Great win vs. Bobby Green. Wrecked him. Always dangerous with his length.
-
11
- Benoit Saint-Denis
- "God of War" | 13-2-0, 1 NC
-
Tough ass dude. Great wrestling and grappling. He got tagged a few times getting takedowns, but he got through it and kept the wrestling going. Survived a submission attempt too He is very impressive for a pretty new prospect still.
-More of the same vs. Miranda. He has one hell of a chin, great wrestling. He still feels a little sloppy standing, but he has so much power and toughness it doesn't matter as much vs. a lot of guys. Super tough dude.
-Beat Bonfim in a very impressive performance. He showed off some body kicks. His stand up still isn't super comfortable, but his wrestling, grappling, and his pure dawg are so good, I think he can beat a lot of dudes.
-Great win vs. Moises. His kicks remain deadly, and he has everything else. Well rounded, pure dawg. He is the real deal to me.
-Another nice win vs. Frevola. Nasty head kick. He is a dawg.
-
12
- Beneil Dariush
- "Benny" | 22-6-1
-
Extremely well rounded fighter on a big win streak. Very solid stand up, interesting leg kicks that throw off his opponents, and when he gets it to the the ground, his ground control and grappling are strong. He didn't absolutely blow me away in any regard, but he is very good in every regard.
Excellent performance vs. Gamrot. He showed his takedown defense and grappling are absolutely elite. He looked solid sanding too, not absolutely elite but good enough with the grappling to get openings. He might be the best in the division arguably.
-Vs. Oliveira, had some decent grappling, but got wrecked standing by Charles and got finished.
-Got taken out fast by Arman. Just wasn't on his level standing, and is getting older.
-
13
- Mateusz Gamrot
- "Gamer" | 24-2-0, 1 NC
-
Impressive fighter with an impressive record. Took down Jeremy Stephens right away, and then went to work and got a nice arm submission. His fight was only a minute so I didn't get to see tons of him.
-He showed more vs a ranked opponent in Ferreira. Gamrot's grappling is just excellent, his wrestling is good, his cardio is great, and he can hold his own standing. Former KSW champ, he is an excellent fighter.
-High level fight vs. Arman. He showed his excellent wrestling and grappling, and high level stand up. I thought his stand up was a touch below the best though. But he is a big threat to anyone. Won the fight but I had him losing.
-More of the same vs. Dariush. His wrestling is awesome but wasn't quite enough to take him down much, high level grappling, and the stand up is just a bit weaker. He really can get tagged by kicks at range from what I've seen, but he also likes that range for his takedown attempts. Very strong fighter but more work to do to make it up.
-Close fight vs. Turner. His wrestling is still top tier. Stand up is OK. I dont like how little damage he does when he wrestles, which can make for some close decisions.
-Beat Fiziev with a leg injury for him. I think he was losing the fight. He wasn't able to take him down easily or do anything with his lone takedown, and he was mostly losing the stand up exchanges. He is not terrible standing, but I still think he is overrated.
-
14
- Conor McGregor
- "The Notorious" | 22-6-0
-
Elite stand up fighter, dangerous. Makes mistakes on the ground.
-
15
- Guram Kutateladze
- "Georgian Viking" | 12-4-0
-
Extremely high level fighter. His kickboxing is very technical, hits all parts of the body. His grappling also seems to be excellent defensively. I think because his opponent is so good he couldn't get him down offensively till the very end. He isn't as explosive as some standing, but he is HIGH level.
-Lost vs. Brener. He was on his way to a victory, and then got caught. It was a weird performance though. He seemed to get tired, got taken down early which surprised me. He still has some technical stuff, nasty work from the clinch, great elbows and kicks when his opponent covers up. I still think he is very good
-
16
- Grant Dawson
- "KGD" | 20-2-1
-
Elite wrestler, but just showed absolutely nothing else. Got gassed vs Glenn which led to a 10-8 3rd round and taking a draw. Can obviously beat lower level wrestlers without elite takedown defense, but good vets line Glenn or guys with real solid takedown defense can probably beat him easy from what I saw. He showed nothing standing.
-vs. Gordon, still doesn't look comfortable standing, but looked a little bit better. He also wore down again in the 3rd, but he recovered enough to get a submission. Wrestling remains elite.
-More of the same. His stand up seems to be continually improving, and the wrestling is still great. Wrestled the heck out of Mark O Madsen, and showed how good his grappling is too. Cardio held up better too. He does do a lot of lay and pray though.
-Great performance vs. Damir. His stand up looked a little better, but his grappling and wrestling remain top tier. Not always doing much damage, but he can easily win fights with these skills.
-Got caught by Bobby Green. It was a bit of a fluke, but it showed he has holes standing vs. better guys.
-
17
- Joel Alvarez
- "El Fenomeno" | 20-3-0
-
Whoa. He is known as a submission threat, but his strikes were EXPLOSIVE. Uses his elbows well. If he gets taken down, he loves to try and do submissions, so he has a chance. Big for this division too, though he missed weight for this one. Very very exciting prospect.
-vs. Arman, he showed how his takedown defense is an issue vs. elite wrestlers. Though he still has a lot of skills otherwise.
-Looked awesome standing vs. Diakese. He is so explosive standing. The takedown D remains a problem, but his grappling is extremely strong, so he can make up for it vs. a lot of guys
-
18
- Damir Ismagulov
- "Qazaq" | 24-3-0
-
High level stand up fighter. Not tons of power, but an excellent jab, and excellent head movement and defense. Takedown defense was very strong. Wasn't able to take Guram down but Guram might just be that good. I did not agree with him winning the fight, but he is very good.
-Lost to Arman. His takedown defense and grappling just didn't quite hold up against the absolute top level. But he is still very high level.
-Lost to Dawson. Just couldn't deal with the wrestling and grappling again. Still looks very technical standing.
-
19
- Drakkar Klose
- 14-2-1
-
Klose absolutely destroyed Brandon Jenkins. Looked very good standing, had wrestling too. Smart gameplan and with keeping his cardio fresh too. Very impressive.
-Had a solid performance vs. a tough opponent in Rafa Garcia. Showed some wrestling and aggressive stand up. He got taken down multiple times, but he is active from his back and was able to get off and even land offense. Very solid performance, but he didn't dominate, which kind of showed his ceiling.
-Beat Joe Solecki. Showed his strong grappling and won with a slam.
-
20
- Kai Tang
- 19-2-0
-
Looked awesome. Stand up is excellent, kicks punches, has power. Showed some takedown defense too. Tough looking guy to beat.
-Was kind of losing a stand up battle to Woong, but showed his insane power on a counter KO. Scary fighter.
-Won the title in ONE. Just looked better than Thanh Le standing, better movement, utilized leg kicks very well. And his takedown defense was tremendous. Very technical and good fighter.
-
21
- Drew Dober
- 27-13-0, 1 NC
-
Got run over early by Mckinney, but has a great chin, survived, then showed his skills. Has good get up game, slick stand up, and power. Very good fighter. Though obviously a step below that elite level.
-Great performance vs. Alves. His stand up is great and so is his chin. Excellent cardio too. Got taken down in R1, but got better as he went. Very solid.
-A crazy fight vs. Bobby Green. He got LIT UP standing most of the way, but his 1 shot power is insane, and he took him out. The toughness, chin, and power are enough to win a lot of fights even though he certainly has plenty of holes.
-Lost vs. Frevola. It was tight early, and I thought he was starting to take control when he got hit. Still has a hell of a chin and I thought he could have continued. But he definitely consistently leaves himself open for losses like that.
-Dominated Ricky Glenn. He is still very scary standing. Utilized leg kicks this time too which helped.
-
22
- Renato Moicano
- "Money Moicano" | 19-5-1
-
Rear naked choke. His stand up fighting is OK, but his wrestling was the highlight. Constantly took down Herbert and got into mount. Took him quite a while from mount to do damage, but when he did, he looked good.
-Looked pretty damn good vs. Hernandez. Also showed his wrestling and submission skills. Very well rounded. Probably not as elite striking as others, but he is still solid there.
-Moicano got beaten up on all levels vs. RDA. I think cutting weight again 2 weeks after a previous weight cut hurt him.
-Dominated Brad Riddell. Beat him standing, and then submitted him. Has a solid skillset. His skill standing for a guy that just seems like a raw BJJ guy is pretty impressive.
-
23
- Thanh Le
- 14-4-0
-
ONE champ. Showed great submission defense vs. an expert, and then annihilated him with GNP. Huge power. A good champ.
-Had a decent performance vs. Kai Tang in their title fight, but just not good enough. He is getting older, so that may be holding him back. Just a lot of head hunting, he couldn't take him down, and he wasn't checking leg kicks well enough. You can see the skill, and he is scary in the pocket, but has some holes.
-
24
- Ľudovít Klein
- "Mr. Highlight" | 21-4-1
-
Skilled stand up fighter. Nice array of strikes and good defense. Showed excellent takedown defense too. I don't know if it was caution or gas tank related, but he did a lot of time wasting in the clinch. Gas tank is my assumption. But when he is executing, he looks quite good.
-Looked great vs. Mason Jones. Very fast and technical stand up, and absolutely excellent defensive grappling. Dominated the fight. Not tons of power, and his offensive grappling is meh, so he couldn't take advantage of some decent positions, but has a great skill set.
-Had more issues with his offensive grappling vs, Herbert. He was getting nailed from the top position. Showed polished stand up again, but couldn't get through and really win standing vs. another very good fighter there. Still has a lot of skill. Lack of power could be an issue too.
-Nice win vs. Ignacio. Looked a bit faster standing, them busted out wrestling in spots too. He is really solid and technical.
-
25
- Bobby Green
- "King" | 32-15-1, 1 NC
-
-Keeps his hands down during stand up. Great chin, great cardio. Not really a kicker or ground guy.
-Bobby destroyed Al Iaquinta. He is very good at backing up and remaining elusive despite the way he fights. His opponents can't really see his hands which helps him a lot. I think he will continue to struggle against truly polished stand up fighters, but his style is clearly effective vs. many, and hes very talented.
-vs. Nasrat he once again showed how good he is standing. Great movement, great jabbing. Not a lot of strike diversity still, but he can annihilate with head strikes against stand up fighters.
-got beat badly by Islam on very short notice. Showed some decent sprawl early, but just couldn't keep it up.
-Excellent stand up performance vs. Drew Dober. His hand speed is insane, but with his hands down and his style, he can definitely get tagged, and thats how he got taken out. He stopped a takedown as well.
-NC vs. Jared Gordon. It was a semi-close fight, but he was winning. More of the same for him
-Dominated Tony Ferguson. So fast standing, and actually showed some decent grappling
-KO'd Grant Dawson. Showed how dangerous he is, but it was a bit fluky too.
-KO'd vs. Turner. The way he fights leaves himself open.
-
26
- Mateusz Rębecki
- "Rebeasti" | 19-1-0
-
DWCS winner. He seems like a beast of a wrestler, and locked in a submission. BUT, his opponent seemed to have terrible takedown D and grappling, so while he looks great, Im hesitant to fully crown him.
-Fought his ass off vs. a debuting Fiore. He has relentless pressure, and good wrestling, but he did seem to really wear himself out, and I think better foes could have taken advantage of his cardio faltering. But he was able to get takedowns and essentially use them to rest. Has skill for sure, not an easy out.
-Great win vs, Loik. Hammered some nasty leg kicks and took him out with that. Showed his wrestling too. I think Loik is decent, so it's a legit win.
-Nice win vs. Roosevelt Roberts. Great wrestling and grappling. Not the best opponent, but he has a great skillset.
-
27
- AJ McKee Jr.
- "Mercenary" | 22-1-0
-
Won vs. Souza in Bellator vs. RIZIN. He hasn't wowed me at lightweight. He has skill, but has had issues doing tons of damage. He did show vs. Souza that his defensive grappling is very strong. No real holes in his game.
-Beat Outlaw. He got taken down a bunch and controlled, but he was doing a sick amount of damage from the bottom. Still kind of concerning for higher levels how much he was on the bottom.
-
28
- Thiago Moisés
- 18-7-0
-
-Seemed like a well rounded fighter, but kind of young at 26, and just wasn't at Makhachevv's level.
-Still looked decent, but got overwhelmed by an incredibly talented prospectin Joel Alvarez. He has gotten beat by 2 elite up and comers now. Seems like a gatekeeper to the ranks.
-Showed his excellent grappling vs. Giagos. Has serious skills there and got a submission.
-Picked up a solid win vs. Costa, a UFC newcomer. His wrestling isn't amazing, but he got the job done, then showed his top tier grappling. His stand up remains pretty explosive but maybe not super technical. Very strong prospect.
-Got handled by Bonfim. The taledown D wasn't good enough. And he lost standing too. But he is still explosive and has a lot of talent. All his losses are to top tier people in my view.
-
29
- Ignacio Bahamondes
- "La Jaula" | 15-5-0
-
Longest lightweight in the division. Great speed and obviously insane length for when he is standing. He actually showed excellent grappling and submissions too. Very impressive prospect.
-Looked super technical in his fight vs. trey Ogden. He is so long and knows how to use it. Still haven't seen tons of his takedown D, but he has a lot of skills.
-Got handled vs. Klein. He is long, and knows how to use it, but got outclassed, a little slower than Klein, and the takedown D had issues.
-
30
- Brad Riddell
- "Quake" | 10-4-0
-
Vicious stand up combos, has power, but he got ko'd by Fiziev. Was a very close fight up to that point. He might just be a touch slower than the absolute best of the division, but he is very dangerous.
-Ridell got decimated by Jail Turner. Couldn't deal with Jalin's length, got tagged, and then was submitted fast. Quick loss. Could be a fluke but tough to say.
-Lost early standing to Moicano, then showed very weak grappling vs. Moicano, 0 hand fighting. Pretty concerning performance, and his chin is looking soft. Its tough for me to forget how good he looked early vs. Fiziev, but it has been downhill since.
-
31
- Alexander Shabliy
- "Peresvet" | 24-3-0
-
Had nice, polished and technical stand up vs. Primus. Very accurate. Then had enough power to finish him. Didn't see his ground game, but his stand up is definitely very solid.
-Beat Musaev. Really weird fight, not much going on, but a body kick that also hit the cup ended it. He isn't an easy puzzle to solve.
-Took care of Pitbull. I worry about the activity levels, but he is crisp standing.
-
32
- Tofiq Musayev
- 22-5-0
-
Beat Outlaw in 30 seconds standing. So I didn't see much, but it's a big win and he had a nice run in RIZIN where he beat Pitbull. Very curious about his ground game, but tough to rank him too low with his performance.
-Lost vs. Shabily. Weird fight, he was super ineffective, but wasn't getting hit much. Then one shot hit his body and grazed his cup which took him out.
-
33
- Gregor Gillespie
- "The Gift" | 14-1-0
-
Great takedowns and grappling. He can get a bit predictable, especially since his stand up doesn't look super polished. He can definitely be explosive though. Good fighter, but didn't seem great,
-
34
- Marian Ziółkowski
- "Golden Boy" | 25-9-1, 1 NC
-
KSW champ. Technical stand up fighter, avoids damage and can land. Not super explosive though. Had good get up game when taken down, just a solid fighter, though not out of this world.
-
35
- Ismael Bonfim
- "Marreta" | 19-4-0
-
Excellent performance on DWCS. He showed all around skills, pretty good movement, worked the body with his boxing, seemed to have power. Even showed a bit of wrestling. The guy he fought had a pretty solid track record but he still made it look easy.. I wondered if his stand up is quite as polished as top tier guys, but he is really good
-Nice win vs. Mckinney. Showed his all around skills again. He really has wide looping punches, but nice power when he lands. Grappling was on point as well.
-Had some decent stand up early, but couldn't keep it standing vs. Saint Denis, and then got submitted. Has some holes, but he has nice size for the division, skills, and he is an athlete so I still think hes a strong prospect.
-
36
- Patricky Pitbull
- 25-13-0
-
Bellator champ. Solid stand up fighter, some power. Only really saw his stand up vs. Queally, really could be more explosive but he is solid.
-Got dominated by Usman Nurma. He is so tepid standing, and then his takedown defense wasn't really good enough, and he got outgrappled. He might be close to cooked.
-Got handled by Shabilly. I'm not sure if he is just fighting good dudes or is cooked yet.
-
37
- Rafa García
- "Gifted" | 16-3-0
-
Savvy high IQ fighter. Took on a touted stand up prospect, and picked the perfect spots to get takedowns and get to a victory. Didn't seem explosive, but will win with his smarts.
-Really looked good vs. Jesse Ronson. Showed some solid stand up, wrestling, and grappling. Very well rounded and can win in multiple ways.
-Had a good performance vs. Drakker in a loss. Lost in the stand up battle, but held his own and got some stuff in. Also had very strong wrestling, just couldn't do tons of damage with it vs. a very good grappler. Solid fighter.
-Picked up an easy win vs. Mahestate. Rafa seems short for the division. Stand up was OK, but he got tagged with his inferior reach early. But once he got the wrestling going, he did well, and landed nice GNP. Just a very solid, well rounded fighter.
-Great win vs. Clay Guida. Doesn't overwhelm you, but had great takedown D, and polished stand up with the jab,
-
38
- Olivier Aubin-Mercier
- "The Canadian Gangster" | 21-5-0
-
Skilled stand up fighter in PFL. Nice movement, accurate. Really good takedown defense too. He seemed to wear down a bit and was not as effective in round 3 in particular. Also not tons of power, but looked solid.
-Had a pretty blah performance vs. Manfio. Super inactive, barely did anything, but squeaked out a victory. Always a risk to be that inactive.
-Had one of his better performances vs. Alexander Martinez. A close first round, but he landed nice shots in 2 and 3 that took Martinez down, and he was able to keep his back most of the way. Solid, technical fighter.
-
39
- Zubaira Tukhugov
- "Warrior" | 20-6-1
-
Lost to Brenner but I had him winning. Has some wrestling and very technical stand up. Not much power though, and just wasn't as aggressive as he should have been. Had some health issues going in that may have hurt him, but he seems really well rounded and solid.
-
40
- Mike Davis
- "Beast Boy" | 11-2-0
-
Wrestled the hell out of Slava Claus. Looked pretty explosive. Showed decent stand up, but Slava might be too good there, and he started getting outclassed. But definitely well rounded and very athletic. Held up well cardio wise too despite a very active fight.
-
41
- Steve Garcia
- "Mean Machine" | 15-5-0
-
This might be a placeholder, as he usually fights at FW. I really like what I've seen from him. His power is nuts, great boxing. It took him a while to get out of a bad grappling position, but he never got into a bad position. He looks great.
-
42
- Viacheslav Borshchev
- "Slava Claus" | 7-3-1
-
Great striker. Has kicks and great punching accuracy. Fun to watch. Slightly worried about his takedown defense though.
-vs. Dakota Bush, he was taken down a few times, but showed the ability to get up from it. Stand up remains excellent plus he has power.
-Showed decent takedown defense early vs. Diakese, but then seemed to wear down. If it stays standing, he is tough to beat. But the takedown defense is a weakness, a big one.
-More of the same vs. Mike Davis. Looks great standing, but the takedown defense is just such a giant hole. I feel like he might be getting better there, but then his on the ground grappling is still weak. Still has a ways to go.
-Now working out of the Faber gym. He looked great standing. Huuuge power. Also his takedown D looked better off 1 attempt. If he can keep up the takedown D, he will be dangerous.
-Drew vs. Nazim. He took one big shot, but overall held up quite well. When he got taken down he was up quick. His stand up looked incredible. His takedown defense keeps improving, and if it keeps going up, he will be a problem. Could use a bit more power though

DWCS. He really impressed me in his performance. I didn't think he was fighting a bad fighter, and he showed skills everywhere. Great boxing, good activity, his cardio seemed strong. He got tagged on occasion and got reversed on the ground once but he didn't show any serious holes. Nice power too. He could be a problem.
-Picked up a nice win vs. Evan Elder, but it was pretty close. He got tagged a fair bit, but he hit back, had some nice grappling. Very solid, but also I'm pumping the brakes on his current upside a bit, has more work to do. Honestly could have lost if he didn't manage to cut Elder bad.
-Nice win vs. Mckinney. He was taken down and his back was taken, but he had great defense and eventually reversed it. He can get a bit wild standing, but he is also very dangerous there. Strong prospect, much better performance here.
-Crazy fight vs. Slava. He really got outclassed most of the way. Couldn't do much with the wrestling. But he has insane power, and that helped him to a 10-8 round. But he loses the fight without that one big shot. He is still very athletic too. He is a beast, but the holes are starting to show.

Solid stand up and good grappling, but didn't blow me away. His cardio is also a serious concern, as he wore down in the 2nd round, when it was his opponent doing more work.
-Close fight vs. Michael Johnson, then he landed a nasty shot and won. Definitely dangerous.

Had some pretty electric stand up vs. Alan Patrick.
I had him winning his fight vs. Jamie Mularkey. He can definitely get tagged, but he still has speed and power standing. Didn't see tons of his ground game still, but he is fun to watch.
-Had a very solid performance vs. Diakese. He showed he has an ELITE sprawl, could not be taken down, even when Marc was in deep. From there, continues to show a pretty polished stand up game, nice hand speed, decent elusiveness. He is a tough out for anyone.
-Was in a close fight vs. Diego but then got shelled and KO'd. It can happen with the way he fights.

- Brent Primus
- 13-3-0, 1 NC
-
Well rounded fighter, very ripped for the division. Definitely not as polished standing, though he can land and has power there, but his wrestling and ground control are definitely his strongest suits. Can go for submissions and GNP but doesn't seem great at finishing from there. Still, very solid.
-Primus had a pretty even first round with Shabily, despite being a bit wild. Second round he started getting tagged and eventually got taken out. He has nice athleticism and explosiveness, but he just isn't as polished standing as the best.
-Won vs. Mansour. Definitely had strong grappling and some wrestling. But he was bad in the clinch and standing. Has enough to win fights, but this one was a rougher win, and he is getting old.

Solid stand up fighter. Some power. Fought someone very wild, and gave out way more than he took. Showed a small bit of ground ability too.
-Nice win vs. Ottman. He is a bit wild, but he is scary, and has serious power in those hands. Haven't seen him in long fights, but he has taken out the lesser foes he has fought pretty easily, and has lost to really good opponents. I worry about how wild he is, but he is definitely good.
-Beat Dober. It was the perfect fight for him vs. another brawler, and he landed the big shot. Not sure if he'd beat him most of the times they fought, but once again, dude is undeniably dangerous.
-Got KO'd vs. Saint Denis. Short fight.

Kickboxer. But didn't see much of it because he got taken down immediately and submitted. He had beaten some OK fighters before that though, but definitely not as good on the ground.
-Showed a whole new game vs. Figlak. Really utilized wrestling well. Still looked pretty sharp standing too. If he continues to work on his wrestling, he will be quite solid. Has nice reach standing, and doesn't stay stationary. Might have gotten tired though.
-Beat Jai in a pretty close fight. He stopped takedowns vs. a non wrestler. He wasn't overwhelming, but technical stand up, some nice knees in the clinch, and just was more accurate.

-Is a decent stand up fighter, but was really unimpressive otherwise. Terrible takedown defense, and not alot of defense on the ground. Got worn down pretty easily, his opponent got into mount constantly, wasn't a fan.
-Jai fought Khama Worthy, and looked way better. He did not face any takedown attempts, and looked much more comfortable and deadly on the feet. It remains to be seen how he can handle decent wrestlers, but against other stand up fighters, he looks like he will have an edge against anyone who isn't elite standing. Crisp strikes, very technical, and some power.
-Showed excellent stand up vs. Topuria. Rocked him a few times. Showed improved takedown defense too. He got knocked out, but looked good before that. Hes really improving fast.
-Took a round to get going vs. Kyle Nelson. Took too many leg kicks. But he had a solid enough rounds 2 and 3, and showed his best takedown defense to date.
-Nice draw vs. Klein, he would have won if not for a point deduction. It was close standing, but he showed really improved grappling. He was nasty landing shots from the bottom, and showed a judo trip, and some ground work. Nice cardio. He is really rounding out his game.
-Lost vs. Ziam. It was kind of a bad matchup for him, another long kickboxing specialist, but he was outclassed a bit, and just not quite on that level, big age gap. This feels like his ceiling.

-Up and coming fighter. Backed up a little too much, but solid stand up guy too. Got out wrestled by a guy who isn't really a wrestler. Has more work to do.
-vs. Bobby Green he just got annihilated standing. Got a little better as the fight went on, he started to do more body shots and leg kicks, but he clearly isn't much of a wrestler, and can't stand with the very best. He is a solid stand up fighter though.
-Had a pretty solid performance vs. Makdessi. Pretty technical standing, a couple nice power shots, and he can work the body. Mostly stayed out of trouble, and even used a few takedowns when Makdessi really went for it. Very nice performance, but also didn't blow me away.
-Beat Landon on short notice. He took a lot of leg kick damage, but his boxing is really crisp, and he has a lot of talent there. Definitely has promise. I'm curious to see him face more takedowns again.
-Dominated Mullarkey and KO'd him. The boxing looked crisp again, and he has some power.

Legend of the sport, Bellator now. Older, but still pretty skilled. Accurate standing, maybe not as much power. Good GNP, and comfortable on the ground. Wouldn't call him elite at anything though.
-Had a real great performance vs. Islam. Looked great standing, reversed takedowns, was active with submissions. He has a lot of skill still. His grappling might very well be close to elite.
-Lost vs. Usman. He retired after the fight. Was a tough out still even in old age with well rounded skills.

Aggressive fighter. Generally gets it done in round 1. Has early KOs, but taking on a kickboxer, he showed excellent takedowns, wrestling, and grappling to get to a submission. Need to see him against better guys, but he is an exciting prospect.
-vs. Dober on short notice, he showed how ferocious he is early. Showed wrestling and stand up. Maybe ran out of steam, but also could be because he had to cut weight twice in 2 weeks.
-Had a great performance vs. Erick Gonzales. landed a lot standing, power, wrestling, and submission skills. He did get tagged once, his aggressiveness can work against him, but he is very skilled.
-He tried to fight more controlled vs. Bonfim, and I don't know if it worked out well. He wasn't technical at all, and lost badly standing for the most part. He does have decent wrestling and grappling, but Bonfim could hang with him easy there. He might need the chaos and aggressiveness to win right now.
-Had an OK first round vs. Nazim. Took his back, but got outclassed badly standing, and lost some grappling exchanges too. He is still quite good, but he has been fighting some huge prospects and I don't think he is on that level.
-Dominated Mike Breeden. When he is flowing, he is athletic, fast, and good. Especially against lesser foes.
-DOminated another lesser foe in Marotte. Doesn't tell me anything new.

RIZIN champ. His BJJ is nasty and he can submit anyone. His stand up seemed rigid and sloppy though. If someone knows what they are doing, they can avoid getting submitted because he isn't well rounded enough, but he does definitely have skill. Has beaten some good fighters. But Mckee mostly handled him. He got a bit gassed too in the 2nd and 3rd round since most of his fights are short.

Has some decent grappling on the ground. But his takedown attempts are terrible. Stand up is not bad, decent kicks. Boxing is a bit sloppy. Uses elbow in the clinch which I liked. But honestly didn't wow me. Won by a leg lock, so definitely crafty there.
-He showed just how next level his grappling is vs. Clay Guida. He is the only UFC fighter with 3 knee bars. Had dangerous arm bars too. He doesn't have as much stand up, but he is terrifying on the ground. I think if it goes down there, he will win most fights.
-vs. Hooker he showed his massive holes. The stand up and takedown attempts aren't good enough. He has to do crafty things to get to the legs, but opponents are ready for it. The grappling is still excellent, bur he needs more paths to get to it right now. Stand up fighters who can avoid the ground are a nightmare matchup.

Dagostani wrestler in Bellator. Definitely can wrestle and grapple, but not as good as some others. Got takedowns reversed, and wasted a lot of time. Got tepid. Not that great standing. Had a huge win streak before his fight with Benson. But still has holes.

Volume striker. Not tons of power, but he is pretty accurate. A little bit of wrestling too. Solid enough but not spectacular.
-Insane volume vs. Stephens. Good stand up, great combos, and had some wrestling. Has done a lot of pro boxing too. Good fighter. Very strong cardio too.
-Looked great vs. Martinez. Truly got robbed. Boxing was great again, though the lack of KO power may have cost him. Showed a bit of wrestling again too. His own takedown defense isn't amazing though. He also got himself into some bad positions, but his sub defense and get up game are both very good. Very solid.

ONE fighter. Ranked. Very crisp stand up. Showed very solid grappling. Just looked above average at everything. Is a bit tepid and took a round to get going, but he looked good.
-Lost to Freyamonov, but didn't look bad before he got caught. Definitely looked technical standing, tried a takedown but it was unsuccessful.
-Fought a lesser opponent in Casotti and took care of business nicely. Good stand up, and a bit of wrestling. Solid all around.

Extremely well rounded fighter. Great wrestling, skill standing with combos. But other stand up guys can definitely hang with him. He only really beat Onama with his wrestling. Claims he gassed out which hurt him. All the skills are clearly there, and I imagine he will improve with time.
-Didn't look terrible vs. Klein, but was a bit outmatched. He couldn't take him down, and his stand up is not on that level. Still has potential, but more work to do. Gas tank looked fine this time.

Highly touted prospect who lived up to the hype. Ferocius stand up, and apparently he is a wizard on the ground too but he didn't show it yet. Gets KOs. His defense is scary, but his chin seems solid. Took some insane blows but stayed standing.
-VS. Kazula, he got rocked again early and taken down, but showed his great grappling from there. Has a lot of talent, but clear holes standing.
-vs. Leavitt he showed his grappling really is great. His takedown defense isn't elite, but it is good, good get up game, and he is always dangerous for subs from the ground. Very solid. Stand up still isn't amazing, but he can be scary there.
-Beat Jared Gordon but I thought he probably lost. Got taken down a few times. Landed standing, but man he really got rocked multiple times. His chin is insane, but he really has terrible striking D. Has skills, and he has a great mentality that helps him, but he has major holes.
-Decent performance vs. a washed Tony Ferguson. Was aggressive standing, and showed his ground skills again. He is solid, but it's tough to be completely sold.

Very tall, great reach edge on just about anyone. Showed very solid stand up, a little bit of wrestling. Just a very solid fighter. Got rocked a bit early, but his cardio and chin are excellent and he kept getting better as the fight went on.
-Had a tough performance vs. Ogden. Just was very inactive, got taken down once, finally started throwing and looked a bit better in r3, but still didnI't impress me. He is pretty young so room to grow, but he has a ways to go.
-Showed how skilled he can be vs. Lando, but showed his weakness too. He is long, has great hand speed and technical ability. But then he just really can get inactive. This is the highest I've been on his ceiling, and I'd say he improved a lot from his last fight, so he could be improving.
-Great performance vs. Giagos. He seemed more active. He used his length well. Got tagged once but stayed active. Showed a nasty choke too. Skilled for sure.

Great debut at his natural weight class. Really went toe to toe with Nazim. Had some solid moments standing, and showed some wrestling too. Maybe not quite as technical, but still young and good. Has some wrestling but wasn't as effective with it vs. Nazim. Solid prospect.
-Looked pretty good vs. Valdez. Was slightly better standing, though not out of this world. He also showed he just has a great gas tank. Has the skill set and the dawg to win plenty of fights.

Was in a great fight with Hernandez. Showed his well rounded skills. You cannot underestimate Jim Miller with his age. He still has a nice brawling style, some wrestling, and BJJ, and some power. He really rocked Hernandez a few times, but ended up behind. Apparently had some damage to his eye which worries me, but he's a tough dude.
-Absolutely rocked Jesse Butler.and knocked him out. It was a debuting guy, but he looked great standing again.
-

- "Flash" | 20-6-0, 1 NC
-
Pretty well rounded fighter. Didn't seem elite at anything, but his stand up is pretty good, solid counter puncher, he has good ground and takedown defense, and can occasionally get dirty on the ground. Good fighter, but definitely far from elite
-More of the same vs. Dawson. Showed good all around skill despite getting wrestled into oblivion. His cardio let him have a really great 3rd round. But he got reversed and submitted.
-Cardio is still elite, did great at altitude in Utah. Outstruck Leo Santos but Im not sure if hes all that great. Had one rough moment with takedown defense and used a cage grab to escape it, so that still might be a bit of a hole. He feels like a very average UFC lightweight, which isn't necessarily a bad thing.
-More of the same vs. Paddy. He is decent at everything but great at nothing. Perfectly average UFC lightweight.
-Had a decent round 1 vs. Bobby Green, wasn't getting destroyed or anything, but then the fight ended via NC.
-Beat madsen. Was on the ropes a bit early, but stayed composed, showed some power in the clinch. Solid all around still.
-

- Jamie Mullarkey

Tough fighter. Has power, can land standing, but also got tagged a lot by Jalin Turner. Also showed a bit of wrestling. He is pretty good but obviously has levels to climb still.
-Showed his toughness vs. Michael Johnson. Got rocked several times, but kept going. I had him losing the fight but he showed some nice stand up, brawling. He is solid.
-Picked up a solid win vs.Prado. He was smarter standing, and mixed in the wrestling well. Avoided taking too much damage. By far the easiest fight he has had in a bit, so tough to upgrade him, but he is a solid fighter.
-Lost vs. Naimov. He was pretty in control with stand up and wreslting, just got caught once and kind of screwed by a quick stoppage. Still think I have him around the right ranger.
-Won vs. Makdessi, but I thought it was very close, and a case could be made that he lost. He seems to wear down, and when he gets tagged, you can tell it affects him. Solid gatekeeper.
-Got lit up by Nasrat. He might be starting to have chin issues.

Long fighter. Showed some great work with his knees and elbows in the clinch. Didn't wow me, but his size and ability is enough to probably win plenty of fights by points, but he struggled a bit with Primus takedowns and then the grappling, but he didn't seem bad.
-

- Mark Madsen
- "The Olympian" | 12-2-0

He is an olympic wrestler, but seems to just about never use it in fights, which was very bizarre. Hes a solid technical stand up fighter, but not spectacular. Weird fighter, and tough to predict when he will actually use his wrestling more.
-More of the same vs. Pichel. Technical, safe stand up. And actually busted out some wrestling. Got taken down once but stopped other attempts. He is not easy to beat, but he also isn't very explosive or any sort of finisher at all.
-Tough loss vs. Dawson. He got wrestled bad, and was losing stand up most of the way too. He just doesn't wow me in any of his performances, but he does have enough skill to win a lot of fights.
-Had a nice start against Gordon, was aggressive in the clinch, but got tagged and taken out. I wonder if that pace tired him out, as he usually doesn't fight that way. Once again, I know he has skills but never really impresses me.

Very effective stand up fighter, accurate puncher. Seemed comfortable defending on the ground. Not really out of this world, but a solid fighter.

Had a nice win on DWCS. I don't think he fought a great foe, but he showed his cage wrestling and then delivered with some nice GNP. Need to see more, but did what he had to do.
-Beat Alves pretty solidly. Showed solid wrestling and grappling, technically sound there. Not as great standing. Didn't do tons of damage but did survive guillotines from a good practitioner of them. Still need to see more, but definitely has the tools to win fights.

Seemed like an OK striker with some power, but he got annihilated fast by Rafael Alves.
-Showed good wrestling vs. Slava claus. Gives him another avenue to win fights, but it was mostly a lay and pray performance, not exceptional.
-Same vs. Hadzovic. He wrestled and lay and prayed his way to victory. I question the takedown defense of the guys he has beat, and he still doesn't have the ability to do a lot with it.
-Lost to Michael Johnson. As expected, he didn't wrestle as well vs a better takedown defense guy. He was OK standing, but got more and more inactive as the fight went, and really never landed big. Wrestling really might be his best key to a lot of victories. He seemed decently technical standing, just couldn't get super explosive.
-Same vs. Alvarez. Couldn't outstrike him. He does still have wrestling, but still can't do tons with it.
-Another lay and pray win vs. Fernandes. He didn't look awesome standing, but he can wrestle at least.

Nice power. Stand up fighter. Was starting to lose vs. Ronson, then changed stances and it seemed to really throw him off. Nice knees. Didn't see much of his other skills, but he is a solid stand up guy, especially thanks to the power.
-Took on Arman and fought him well. Had a nice moment or two standing, but gets taken down too easily, and was rocked plenty standing too. Wild card fighter that relies on power and BJJ.
-Nice win vs. Clay Guida. Showed a little better takedown D. Cardio wasn't perfect, but it seemed better than past fights. And he definitely has power and grappling. Well rounded.

-Older guy, been around forever, but still has spunk. Can do a bit of everything, but isn't as dangerous as he once was obviously.
-Cardio and chin were insane vs. Leo Santos. He really showed his wrestling skills as well. He looks old, and he has been in wars, but he really can still compete with lower level guys. His cardio alone is enough in some cases.
-Showed all of his usual stuff vs. Puelles, but he got caught by a submission. Still fights like he is young, very bouncy and active, just got a tough opponent.
-Decent performance vs. Holtzman. He isn't 100% technical standing, but he is relentless, and his cardio is insane. Same with the wrestling but he wasn't great at doing damage vs. Holtzman. He is 40. He is still a tough out.
-More of the same vs. Garcia. Constant energy, but couldn't take him down, or figure out a way around a simple jab. Has dawg in him, but just not technical enough.
-Lost vs. Silva. Semi close fight. He shockingly got outworked in round 3. Could be getting older, but he is still a tough out.

Hell of a KO in DWCS. He has finished all his fights, has power and submission ability. Didn't see much, but the potential is obviously there.
-Lost to Loik in his UFC debut. His stand up is pretty decent. Has great power. His kimuras help him get up from takedowns, but man he got taken down over and over again. His takedown defense is a huge hole
-Beta Kamuela Kirk. His takedown defense still seems like a hole, but it was a little better. His stand up is great. He will take one to give one, but he throws combos and has a chin. Excellent cardio too. He looks good, but I still question him a bit.

Solid enough fighter, mostly stand up. Techncial, but doesn't blow me away athletically. Got taken down a few times by a guy I don't really consider a wrestler which wasn't amazing, but he is definitely OK.

Impressive build. Solid wrestler, and very good when he has someone on the ground, but he struggled to get Gordon to the ground after the first round. His stand up wasn't bad, but also definitely wasn't top shelf.
-More of the same vs. Da Silva. He does not look super comfortable standing, and he got himself in danger multiple times. Showed some good grappling and submission skills, and some OK but not amazing wrestling, I think his cardio wore down a bit here too. Solid fighter, but has work to do.
-Picked up a win vs. Carl Deaton. Carl did not look great, so tough to upgrade him, but more of the same mostly.

Has some OK stand up, kicks in particular are impressive, but his boxing is sloppy, takedown defense was just OK, and didn't have a lot of other tools yet. Newer fighter, so still plenty of time to get better though.
-Showed a bit of everything vs. Mike Breeden. Stand up was decent, some wrestling and grappling. Good cardio on a fast paced fight. And heart as he took some damage. Solid fighter.
-Solid win vs. Valdez. His boxing is improving, and the kicks are still great. He did start to wear down a bit late, but was able to get a takedown whenever he needed it. Pretty well rounded and smart. Outside of the kicks, he isn't quite blowing me away yet though.

Known as a ground guy, but I thought he looked competent everywhere. But he also didn't look great anywhere. Probably beats Leavitt by decision if he doesn't trip on a kick in R1. But he also doesn't do enough to get up from his back. But I thought he was OK.
-Had a solid win vs. Zellhuber. He stayed active, not a lot of combos but he showed good range. Showed a bit of wrestling too. Once again, he is OK.
\
-Lost to Ignacio. Ignacio is a great prospect, but he just wasn't active enough and doesn't throw many combos still. Serviceable at best.
-Nice performance vs. Motta. He is elusive defensively, and has a nice jab. Smart gameplans, has some ground skills too, but once again, it's all basics. Better fighters should be able to win.

Bellator. Good wrestling and ground control. Not super comfortable standing. Has that basic formula that wins fights without being incredible.

An up and comer, got KO'd by Paddy, but landed some nice shots and seemed well rounded enough. Still a solid prospect, but work to do. Had decent enough takedown defense too, mostly good at boxing so far.

Longtime UFC vet. Very powerful. Got taken down pretty easily and was submitted. A guy who will probably lose to most of the promising up and coming guys.
-Lost, but put in a nice performance vs. Collard. Lots of stand up volume. Good chin, had power. He can definitely take guys out. Did get taken down a few times again though.
-More of the same vs. Myles Price. Good stand up. His takedown defense looked great early but I think he wore down a bit.

Looked incredibly skilled in his DWCS debut. Was long, hit a variety of strikes, and looked solid on the ground, grappling in particular. But I think he gassed himself and just couldn't hold up. Not a lot of fights on his record, but the skills looked real to me. With more fight IQ/energy management, he could be very good.

Mostly a stand up fighter. Has some of the best and least telegraphed head and body kicks I've ever seen. Good boxing, couldn't stay out of the clinch and got tagged a lot too. Some wrestling but not that great there.

97
- Omar Morales
- "Resilient" | 11-4-0

Stand up fighter. Wants to land big, but goes a bit wild, and leaves himself open. Apparently has wrestling but didn't even try to use it which was odd. He looks impressive, and the punches look good, but he clearly has holes. I imagine if he lands big he has power, but he just missed too much for me to see that.
-Looked pretty decent standing vs. Chris Duncan. Looked pretty sharp there. Showed good takedown D but couldn't get up super fast. He doesn't take much damage on the ground. Solid enough, though could use more activity and a better get up game.

ONE fighter. Decent performance vs. Kim. Elusive on the ground, sneaks in shots, and has some power. Didn't blow me away and didn't see him on the ground, but he seems pretty good.

- "The Cannibal" | 9-2-0

Looked great early vs. Chris Duncan. Nice technique and power, but let his guard down a bit and got shelled by a guy with insane power. But he does have potential, and I hope he gets another shot.
-Looked super sharp vs. Alex Reyes. He looked great in his DWCS fight before getting KO'd too. He said he has worked on his patience and it showed. I'm really liking what I see right now.

- Manuel Torres
- "El Loco" | 15-2-0

His fight didn't last long. Showed pretty good stand up, but fight basically ended on an eye poke so I didn't get to see tons of him.
-Had a nice KO win vs. Camacho. Had great accuracy but Camacho didn't have much head movement. He seems a bit sloppy but he does have power. Also got tagged a few times but seemed to have a good chin. Was able to stop some takedowns, but his opponent wasn't much of a wrestler.
-Another 1st round KO vs. Motta. Nasty elbow. But he showed holes early defensively. Lots of power, but I'm still not totally sold on him.
-

Lost vs. Zellhuber. I think the reach just can be a lot to deal with at this division. After a tough first round, he recovered, arguably won round 2 and was close in round 3. Has a little of everything, but just doesn't seem great at anything.
-
103
- Mike Breeden
- "Money" | 11-6-0
-
Fought on short notice. Got knocked out fast, but actually showed some striking promise, and had takedown defense. Just fought an elite prospect, but I don't hate him as an undercard guy.
-Had a nice performance vs. Levy. Had some great moments standing, showed some wrestling too Wasn't elite anywhere, but he seemed competent all around with very good cardio.
-Got totally outclassed by Mckinney and was taken out fast.
-Was outclassed early by Anshul, but then came out like a mad man in round 3 to take it. Has some skill, and at the very least, has some dawg in him.
-
104
- Anshul Jubli
- "King of Lions" | 7-1-0
-
Won his road to UFC fight. Really showed it all, wrestling, grappling, looks comfortable standing, and seems long for the division. I want to see him vs. better fighters, but he looked great with who he did fight.
-Had a solid round 1 and 2 vs. Breeden, but then got overwhelmed in round 3.
-
105
- Chris Duncan
- "The Problem" | 11-2-0
-
Got lit up early in his DWCS fight, but had a chin, and landed one punch that just ended Campbell. Didn't like how bad he was getting beat up, but he definitely has power.
-Beat Omar Morales, but I had him losing. He showed some wrestling, but mostly lost standing. Just didn't particularly wow me. Did show a good gas tank though.
-Nice win vs. Yanal. He handled things well, and looks way better, he is at ATT now. Stand up was a lot more balanced and technical, and he has some power, wasn't taking as much damage.
-
106
- Landon Quiñones
- "The Lone Wolf" | 7-3-1

Lost vs. Nasrat but it wasn't a bad performance at all. Really hurt him with leg kicks, and he wasn't bad in the boxing exchanges, though he definitely lost there. Not bad.

107
- Nikolas Motta
- "Iron" | 14-5-0, 1 NC
-
Looked competent standing but not out of this world. His power was so so, got ko'd by Jim Miller. He stopped one takedown, but yeah, just didn't wow me.
-Beat Cameron Vancamp pretty easily. Vancamp keeps his chin open and he exposed it easily and took him out. Definitely looks better standing vs. lesser opponents.
-Got taken out by Torres, but didn't look bad standing at all before then,
-Lost vs. Ogden. He can be scary, but was stymied by the jab and movement of Ogden. Stopped takedowns early, but then got taken down late, and should have lost, but it was a NC due to a ref screw up.
-Nice win vs. Tom Nolan. He has some nice stand up.
-
108
- Chase Hooper
- "The Dream" | 13-3-1
-
Showed his strong grappling and some wrestling vs. Nick Fiore. At least had tons of output standing, but I feel like he still isn't super technical there and leaves himself open. He is definitely long, still young, could keep improving.
-Beat Leavitt. It was an all grappling affair, and he showed he will win out even vs. good foes there in a lot of fights.
-
109
- Kamuela Kirk
- "The Jawaiian" | 11-6-0

Lost vs. Ribovics. Didn't look bad though. He showed some wrestling, and lost in the stand up, but had some moments. He was fighting at FW before, so maybe this a placeholder.

- Kurt Holobaugh

TUF winner. Took out Austin Hubbard. Was taken down a few times, but his get up game is strong, his subs were strong, and he was decent standing. Solid but unspectacular guy.

- Christos Giagos
- "The Spartan" | 20-12-0

His fight only lasted a few minutes. Seemed like an OK wrestler, but could not hold up to an elite prospects intense strikes.
-Also watched his fight vs. Sean Soriano. He also had major holes standing here, but he was able to wrestle and put together a great submission.
-Got dominated grappling by a top level guy in Moises and lost by submission.
-Took out Ricky Glenn nicely with his stand up, has some power at least.
-Had a few nice moments vs. Zellhuber. Tagged him once, but then got figured out, and got submitted pretty easily when he got caught too. Dangerous but big time holes.
-
113
- Bryce Logan
- 13-8-0
-
Beat Peter Queally, but has a lot of bad losses, so tough to really rank him high. 1st round was a bit inactive, but then he landed a nice takedown, and landed a clean elbow from the clinch. Might be a bit fluky, but he does have power at least. Kind of short for this division too.
-
114
- Anthony Pettis
- "Showtime" | 25-14-0

PFL. Dominated Myles Price on the ground after stuffing a takedown. Good grappling and submission attempts before finishing the job. He had a very bad 1st season in PFL, but he might be in better shape now.
-Looked OK vs. Stevie Ray, before getting caught in a nasty submission. His stand up and wrestling looked pretty good before that though, so I think it was more of a fluke.
-Had a tougher performance in fight 2 vs. Stevie. Just looked washed.Had a few OK moments standing, but just got taken down repeatedly and outgrappled. Looked tired fast. Not sure if he has "it" anymore.
-
115
- Raush Manfio
- "Cavalo de Guerra" | 17-5-0

PFL. Kind of inactive, but does strike with power. Decent but didn't blow me away
vs. Madge, he's still weirdly inactive. But once he turned it on more, he looked pretty good standing and had some serious power.
-More of the same vs. Oliver. He's just so inactive, even when he is down. If he doesn't land a big one, he probably loses most fights.
-
116
- Alex Martinez
- 10-5-0, 1 NC
-
Competent fighter. Has skills in just about everything, but did not seem super above average at anything.
-More of the same vs. Clay Collard. Showed pretty good wrestling and grappling, probably more of his strength. He got lit up by Clay standing though, and really should not have won the fight.
-Lost vs. Olivier Aubin, a close first round, but he got tagged quick in rounds 2 and 3 and ended up defending his back most of the way. Still just "competent".
-
117
- Koji Takeda
- 16-6-0
-
Lost in Bellator vs. RIZIN. Seemed decently competent standing, but lost several exchanges there. His takedown D actually improved as the fight went on, and showed some decent grappling, but he didn't blow me away.
-
118
- Tony Ferguson
- "El Cucuy" | 25-10-0

Showed his toughness vs. Bobby Green. Had a few moments standing, and he still has all the basic MMA skills, but he is just getting washed.
-Got beaten up by Paddy. He just doesn't have it anymore.
-
119
- Yanal Ashmouz
- "Red Fox" | 7-1-0
-
Picked up a quick win vs. Sam Patterson. Tough to judge him, he looked kind of small for the division, but his power is absolutely insane.
-Lost vs. Duncan. He got hurt early, which didn't help, but also really seemed to be hunting the KO, and lost to a more technical guy.
-
120
- Jordan Leavitt
- "The Monkey King" | 11-3-0
-
Very talented grappler. Has wrestling, and a huge array of submissions to use. His stand up seemed pretty meh, and his chokes can gas himself a bit too, but very skilled.
-Had a pretty subpar win vs. Trey Ogden. His stand up is very meh, mostly lives off light leg kicks. Couldn't get takedowns vs. another good wrestle, but he did show good grappling, though he couldn't do much with a closed guard. Just won with ground control mostly.
-Showed the same holes vs. Paddy. He is a grappler, but outside of control, he just hasn't looked as impressive as I'd like for a grappler against better grapplers.
-Beat Victor Martinez with some nice knees in the clinch. Wasn't successful with the takedowns, but looked good. I do not think Victor is that great though.
-Got into a grappling fight with Chase Hooper and got subbed. Same issues as always.
-
121
- Genaro Valdéz
- "Rayadito" | 10-3-0
-
Solid grappler and wrestler. Pretty good stand up. Definitely has power. He gassed a bit but was still about to finish the fight.
-Vs. Frevola he was just insanely aggressive. Landed some shots but took way more. His chin is insane, but just leaves himself open a lot too.
-Decent performance vs. Levy. He got outclassed standing early, but his chin is nuts and his cardio held up well. But he also could not stop takedowns when needed which really killed him here. He tried to be a bit more cautious, but he has more of a brawling style, so I think he was better when the fight was more chaotic, but it's a tough way to live.
-Lost vs. Elder. Just not quite on his level, and the gas tank didn't seem quite at the same level either. He is an OK boxer/brawler sort and thats about it.
-
122
- Gabriel Benítez
- "Moggly" | 23-11-0

Moved up from Featherweight. Decent brawler. Showed a bit of wrestling and power. But his opponent was not great, so tough to fully judge. Was finished a fair bit at FW so it'll be interesting to see more of him here. Definitely got tagged by kicks.
-
123
- Trevor Peek
- 9-2-0, 1 NC

Won in DWCS vs a guy that I thought looked pretty damn good and talented. He got wrecked early, but his chin seems to be insane, and his cardio, dawg, and aggressiveness are just insane. Not great how bad he got beat up, but he can power through apparently, but I think he is in trouble vs. tougher foes.
-Beat Erick Gonalzes. He really doesn't look technical standing at all. He throws everything so hard. But his gas tank and "dawg" are insane. He got taken down a bunch getting too aggressive, but he seems decent at getting up. I feel like he would be terrifying to bet against, but I still don't really see the full blown skills. But his other traits can definitely carry him vs. a lot of guys.
-Fought a skilled guy in Chepe and showed his deficiencies. He isn't technical. He throws hard and kind of gassed himself, and got taken down a fair bit. If you don't have some serious grit, he can beat you, but overall he just isn't terribly skilled.
-More tepid performance vs. Mohammed Yahya. He didn't blow me away, still not technical at all, but he at least has some activity and wrestling.
-

- Maheshate Hayisaer

Only 22. Knocked out Steve Garcia fast in his UFC debut. Looked good boxing, had power, did get tagged once too. He needs to show more, but definitely has promise.
-Missed weight, so we will see if he stays here. The dude is HUGE for this division. He was way bigger than his opponent, Rafa Garcia. And he landed some nice stuff standing most of the way, especially early. But he got taken down a bunch in the last 2 rounds. I wonder if this division is hard on his gas tank.
-Got beat pretty soundly by Slava Claus. Was not as skilled standing, and his one takedown attempt didn't go anywhere.
-
125
- Nariman Abbasov
- "Bayraktar" | 29-5-0

Pretty good track record, lost at DWCS to a really top tier prospect. He is aggressive and throws volume which throws people off. He doesn't seem to feint much and gets a bit wild, but I can see the aggressiveness throwing a lot of people off.

Bellator prospect. Decent stand up but a bit wild there. Showed some grappling, but he just got taken down too many times by Gadzhi which cost him his fight. With better takedown defense, he could become pretty interesting.
-
129
- Don Madge
- "Magic Man" | 10-4-1

Looked OK standing vs. Manfio, mostly lived off leg kicks and he wasn't doing that much otherwise. Once Manfio turned it on, he got KO'd.

Very polished stand up fighter, nice, crisp boxing and counters. DIdn't see a lot else of him. Isn't super explosive, and didn't see him tested with takedowns though.

Tough UFC debut vs. Mullarkey. His stand up seemed a bit wild and too focused on 1 punch KOs. Didn't land much. Got taken down several times too, though he showed decent grappling. Only 20, so he can improve.
-Beat Ottman. It was a close fight, then he landed a big elbow that finished it. He still strikes me as kind of wild, and I'm not fully sold on him. But he is an athlete with power.
-
134

Got outwrestled pretty bad in his first few rsing.unds, but showed vet savvy, survived, and then won a 3rd round with a 10-8 to get a draw. He definitely didn't impress me, but he seems solid enough.
-Got taken out quick by Giagos, didn't see much to make me want to upgrade him.
-Got annihilated by Dober. Just didn't look great standing at all.
-
138
- Leonardo Santos
- 18-6-1
-
Super long for this division. Some great strikes, but cardio was poor and got him wrecked after he went ham going for a KO and was toast. Is very good at BJJ, but didn't show it vs. Guida.
-Got beat pretty badly by Jared Gordon. Just not good enough standing, doesn't have enough wrestling to use his BJJ, and then he still has poor cardio. It was especially bad at elevation as you'd expect.

Submission expert. But newer to MMA. Went for a leg lock and got annihilated by GNP. Happened fast so I didn't get to see much of him.

Had some survival ability on the ground, but couldn't reverse Pettis and got submitted in PFL. Didn't get to see much. He has an interesting track record. Some good wins but a lot of losses too. Tough to rank.

Lost in DWCS. His stand up looked absolutely electric, but he couldn't stop takedowns and his grappling seemed poor. His opponent might have been really good though. He landed a huge head kick and a knee early that may have finished some other guys. But if he cant stop takedowns, he is in trouble.
