- Makhachev vs. Volkanovski

P4P n°1 vs. P4P n°2, only the UFC's 7th champion vs. champion superfight in 30 years, and by far, the greatest ever.
Volk comes in as a significant underdog (+300) as Islam represents this almost invincible force with unstoppable and overwhelming grappling similar to Khabib while also a far better striker than Khabib, plus Volk is mainly known for his (masterful) striking and moves up a weight class to take on an aldready big and extremely strong lightweight, therefore coming as the much smaller man, making the odds seem not too far-fetched after all despite this being Islam's first title defense.
But in front of his home fans in Australia, Volk absolutely delivers, putting on a show while pushing the boogeyman of the division to his limits, showing outstanding wrestling and letting Islam know he would not get bullied and overwhelmed.
That iconic moment with Islam hanging on his back and doing nothing before a fed up and fired up Volk relentlessly punches him from his back while talking trash as the crowd goes nuts, while far from the most damaging punches, was amazing.
There's plenty of other badass Volk moments, like him simply pushing the pace against an overwhelming beast like Islam, having Islam look at the clock, and finishing the final round strong and on top, still losing a very close decision that could've gone either way, but earning the respect and admiration of fans for the gargantuan challenge and the herculean effort while imposing himself as one of the greatest ever. And the fact that pretty much all the post-fight talks were about Volk further cement his performance as one of the greatest losing efforts ever.
