MMA *is* the best and purest sport on the planet. I no longer recognize the NFL, NBA, NHL, or MLB as sports... merely games. I became a fan in high scool watching the early UFCs when they were released on VHS. I burnt out by UFC 9, thanks to the worst fight in MMA's short history: Severn v. Shamrock. I lightly followed MMA for a while, until 2006 when I started following PRIDE closely (and quickly became a big Cro Cop fan). Since 2008, MMA/Boxing/K1 are the only sports I have followed.
