2019 Most Controversial UFC Refereeing
-
1
- Quiñones vs. Glover
- Landon Quiñones | KO/TKO | Round 1
- 2019 | Titan FC 56
-
Glover was tapping out due to strikes for about 7 seconds before referee Jorge Alonso stepped it to stop it finally at :56 of round 1
-
2
- Woodley vs. Usman
- Kamaru Usman | Decision
- 2019 | UFC 235
-
Marc Goddard constantly resetting them drove me crazy! With Usman outworking Woodley on the ground, Marc would stand them up and tell them to fight. Goddard was giving Woodley an unfair advantage by standing them up, since a standing knockout was the only chance Woodley had to win the fight.

- Cejudo vs. Dillashaw
- Henry Cejudo | KO/TKO | Round 1
- 2019 | UFC on ESPN+ 1
-
Cejudo came on strong, but these guys are only 125 lbs, and Kevin MacDonald could've given Dillashaw a better chance to weather the storm. It's not like N'Gannou was unloading that vicious power on an opponent, we're talking the smallest weight class in the UFC.

- Lawler vs. Askren
- Ben Askren | Submission | Round 1
- 2019 | UFC 235
-
I wish Lawler would have given a thumbs up or something, because it did kind of look like his arm went limp, but after Herb Dean called it, he comes right back to life. Dean was trying to protect him, others could use that as a lesson, to give a signal that you are conscious. Felt bad for Herb Dean after that one.

- Ladd vs. de Randamie
- Germaine de Randamie | KO/TKO | RD 1
- 2019 | UFC on ESPN+ 13
-
:16 second 1 punch knockdown and Herb Dean was jumping in to stop it prematurely, before de Randamie could even land follow-up shots. Apparently, Ladd had a bad weight cut, That, and any amount of unanswered blows would've ended it. He probably saved her some brain damage from the weight cut, but she wasn't given the chance to recover, especially when Ladd rolled over to face her opponent. Ladd appeared to be able to defend herself.
