well when you look at it, the whole website has the opportunity to give you thumbs, but only you can give them out. So it's natural for it to be that way.

Now that I think about it I'd say it probably does differentiate. Because with 7,000 posts if downs counted as well I would have gotten 10,000 a long time ago.
