I figured Tapology needs an official NFL thread, for all talks related to the NFL. Sick of seeing random topics on the Peyton Manning thread.

So please discuss the NFL here, thanks everyone.

That Browns vs Jets game was lit.  I know it's only one game, but Baker Mayfield looks like the real deal.  I really hope the Browns do well with him at the helm.

Yeah it looked like the ball had a different zip on it when he was throwing. But they were saying that his arm was different all along. I just hadn't noticed in college. Those windows he throwing in were picks for a lot of qb's in the nfl save for the top guys. There are so many great young qb's right now. I wish the Steelers would have gotten rid of ****y years ago. Now the Steelers will have to compete against guys like Wentz, Goff, Maholmes, Mayfield, etc.

Dolphins are -3 against Oakland. That's crazy. It's a 1:00 pm game east coast time.

@mbach

The Steelers have Mason Rudolph, so there's a plus.  Just hope that Roethlisberger doesn't try and pull a Tom Brady and try and have him go behind the team's back and go to the owner to get him traded out of Pittsburgh the way Brady did with Kraft to get Jimmy G out of New England behind Belichick's back.

There is no way ben can hold up the steelers in that way. They would get rid of him at this point so he wouldn't even try it. Brady has so much built up good will in that city and with that organization. He's done things the right way throughout his career.

No one in Pittsburgh likes ben. Well no one except the weirdos who take the game personally. They cant see past the game. It's almost as if their happiness is based on wins and losses and not properly putting this into context. It's only entertainment. That's it, nothing more.

Patriots are down 13 - 3 at halftime to the Detroit Lions, only two weeks removed from Matt Stafford throwing four picks against the god damn Jets.

Yesterday was one of the weirdest nfl days i can remember in a long time. Between the bills, lions, titans, and redskins (least suprising given rodgers knee) i think its impossible to predict the nfl anymore.

Fell asleep during the game last night. Every drive i watched had a roughing the qb penalty on it. Maybe make those calls less and i wont be snoring by half time.

As a small victory for me, I am still 3-0 in Fantasy despite having a Patriots heavy team.

Somehow Pittsburgh is -3 against Baltimore this week. I think the Ravens are winning this game. The Steelers were +3 in turnovers vs TB and almost lost the game. Too many penalties and I think Baltimore will be heating up soon.

@mbach

The Steelers are in the same place as the Patriots where the coaches have lost control the locker room, albeit for different reasons.  While the Patriots are a team divided by a blood feud between Brady and Belichick, the Steelers problem is that Mike Tomlin's years of constantly coddling of the superstar divas has finally come back to bite him and may cost him his job at the end of the year.  Even with the removal of bad locker room guys like Martavis Bryant and Mike Mitchell, the Steelers are still saddled with so many ego maniacs they make the Bengals look like choir boys now.  And it is only going to get worse for Pittsburgh, I think.  With the locker room issues and their problems with playing down to competition, I could easily see the Steelers falling out of the playoff picture.

No doubt. I've been telling everyone all summer they arent making the playoffs. But a lot of people around here have lost interest/vested rooting interests in the team so they havent been watching. I enjoy watching them because love em or hate em they are the most entertaining team to watch.

I bet! I had woods and the Vikings kicker and my opponent had the VIkings D so starting the week off 33 to -2 is pretty sweet!

Nice!  My money league has such screwy scoring, Goff put up 69.45 for me, and Kupp was "only" 27.8.

Wow 69 points?? That seems really high haha. QB's must get a point for every reception too?

Half point per completion, 6 point tds.  Half point per reception, 20 rec. yards/point.  Return yards count too.  Makes draft prep a real *****, but guys always reach for QB's so I ended up with Barlkey, Dalvin Cook, and Jordan Howard from the 7 spot in a 12 teamer.  And I've got Mark Ingram coming back next week to take Cooks spot since he seems to suck now.

So I was down by 7 points going into last nights game. I had Kamara and my opponent had Brees AND Thomas.

No chance in hell right?

Thank god Brees had an off game I ended up winning 129.22 to 129.02 to move to the finals
