I figured Tapology needs an official NFL thread, for all talks related to the NFL. Sick of seeing random topics on the Peyton Manning thread.

So please discuss the NFL here, thanks everyone.

Why stress about the Pats when the Sox are on pace to win 110 games?

If you're a boston sports fan, you really can't complain too much. Look at the run since 2001. Im a pitt guy down the line (although steelers can get lost) so i have seen a lot of titles(7 & counting) but even i think boston is championship central.

@boredoms  I am happy for the Sox, but I also hope they don't choke in the postseason and get to the ALCS at least.  Otherwise, it will be a major letdown. Plus, I am a bigger Pats fan at this point than Red Sox, although it is shifting with the whole Bill-Brady fiasco.

@mbach  Because I see the decline for the Patriots is coming soon and fast and, while I may have been born in the 90s, I still remember when at least one, if not more, of the Boston sports teams were god awful.   Especially the Patriots.  Until 2001, the Patriots were the team that was almost in the position that the Cleveland Browns are in now.  And I would like to see Brady and Belichick win one more before it is all over and the team goes to hell.

Yeah boston sports were poop up until belechik and brady started bending the rules (not hating, i just wish the steelers had the foresight to cheat the same way). But since 2001, boston has had unrivaled success. Pittsburgh has had 5 titles total since then which the pata match by themselves. But honestly, as long as you hang on to belechik, you will be fine. He's the irreplaceable one.

Edit: i meant they were poop in the 90's. They had a lot of success in the 80's obviously.

I'm not even that upset with this loss to the Jags since we will most likely see them in the playoffs and don't see anyway the Pat's lose twice to a team in the same season

@freemoney

That's what happens when your team becomes the retirement home of the league.  Outside of Rosen (who hasn't played yet), Larry Fitzgerald, Chandler Jones and a few other players, that team is past their prime veterans and crap young players.

@hornet yeah couldn't agree more. Always felt bad for larry fitzgerald and anquan boldin back when they first hooked up. Two great receivers but i knew they were on a dead end team.

Fitzgerald is a monster. He could be one of the 3 best recievers of all time. Imagine if he had played with an elite qb in his prime (just a taste was he and kurt warner and kurt was past it). Brady, rodgers, brees, ****lisberger.

3 games to look at are Chicago vs AZ. Bears are only a -4 favorite. New England is only a -7 favorite over Detroit.

And for some reason Houston at home is -3.5 against Giants. Clowney is coming back.

I think Khalil mack is going to force Bradford into early retirement. Trubisky is bad, but he doesn't have mack chasing him around. I see Bears defense scoring twice, Az defense scoring once. I don't know if Chicago will score any offensive td's, but I don't know if Az will cross the 50. It's Larry and everybody else.
