Personally, I'm not a big fan of elbows. More than delivering know out blows, they cause some serious cuts that can ends fights. Al-la Chris Leben vs Kenny Florain .. Leben dominates the whole fight and Florian lands one elbow and cuts him so the doctor calls it off.. I dont think its like landing a lucky knockout blow, its a cut. This is just my opinion!!
Whats your say!?

If the bottom of your feet are 2 of 3 points of contact; knees and kicks to the head are still legal.

Close round 10-9
Clearly dominant round 10-8
Hugely one sided round 10-7 (Round 1 of Edgar-Maynard II)
I think that way there would be less ******** decisions from the judges

Yeah, I remember Paul Buentello using that a way to slow down the onslaught he was receiving from...Kongo? Was it?
I like the bottom two feet stipulation to allow for fighters to go for the finish.
I personally don't like the 10-must system. If neither fighter ever does more than a dozen clean jabs and no actions, why should one be given 9 points? I think the looming threat of more draws would force fighters to change their game plans to gain the edge.

Or was it Rothwell vs. Velazquez? One of those Heavyweight jobbers was putting his hand down to defend against leg strikes to the head!

Judges should stop giving that much importance to "takedowns" and focus more on real finishing blows. Don't reward control that much, damage is more important in a fight.
They should judge the fight as a whole and forget about the 10-9 rounds sistem. These aren't 15 rounds boxing matches...
If a fighter gets a takedowns and is laying and praying there (just "waiting" for the round to end without trying to finish the fight) yellow card his ass. 10% of his salary and a point deducted, that will do.

I'd like to see the introduction of Sudden Victory rounds to end the practice of draws.
I think introducing half points might possibly serve a good purpose.
I also see no benefit to having the closed scoring system, where fighters have no clue as to what they judges have scored the ended rounds. Post the results, so the fighters are aware they must go for a finish, or whatever. Open scoring.

What the UFC originally allowed
Originally, there were no weigh divisions. Every one competed equally. 170 to unlimited. There were no rounds. It was a tournament style format and everyone fought 2 or 3 times that night.
Although UFC used the tagline "There are no rules!" in the early 1990s, the UFC did in fact operate with limited rules. There was no biting, no eye gouging, and the system frowned on (but allowed) techniques such as hair pulling, headbutting, groin strikes and fish-hooking.
UFC 12 saw weight classes.
UFC 14 made gloves mandatory, and kicks to the head of a downed opponent were banned.
UFC 15 banned headbutting, strikes to the back of the head, and small-joint manipilations, and groin strikes.
UFC 21 introduced 5 minute rounds

EDIT: Apparently it was unlimited 5 minutes rounds, my bad.

I want the .5 system implemented to allow for more specific judging because a 10-9 round encompasses way too much. A 10-9 round could be a fairly good round for one guy, and a 10-9.5 round could be for a very close round.

"One of the common misconceptions of the early UFCs was that time limits and rounds weren’t instituted until later. UFC 1 was actually scheduled for unlimited five-minute rounds separated by one-minute rest periods until a winner was determined. But because no fight had gone past the five-minute mark at UFC 1, Rorion and SEG didn’t see the point of having rounds at all. It was decided that time limits wouldn't be necessary for UFC 2. The fights would go on for one endless round until one man tapped out or his corner threw in the towel, no exceptions."

Edit - I thought you were talking about something else, but UFC had 5 minute rounds just unlimited rounds. But really anyone who wants no time limit must watch Pride 2.
The only one rule I would like to change is putting the hand down to count as downed. A knee, butt, torso or elbow at least should have to be touching the ground. That whole one finger thing is ridiculous.

Testing needs to change for PEDs. I'm still not sure why marijuana is illegal. Maybe they think it acts as too much of a painkiller?
Get rid of the current round-point scoring. It's too arbitrary for the fight. Get a panel of 5 judges, and at the end of the fight, have each one write down which fighter they thought won. 5 judges, should help cancel out bad judging.
